Meg coughed, rubbing the sore spot on her neck that would most definitely leave a bruise, if it hadn't already.

Recovering from his daughter's blow, Savage grabbed onto her arm, bending it painfully back. Before he could break it- Meg heated up her wrist with light, causing the man's already burnt hands severe discomfort.

Savage released Meg's arm, which gave her time to elbow him in the throat. She knocked the dagger away from him, only leaving the tyrant with his hands to try and stop her from killing him.

They both stopped to catch their breath- glaring daggers at each other. Meg wiped blood from the side of her face, quickly creating a swirling ball of light to toss at Savage. The orb of bright light mixed with cracking shadows sent Savage backwards.

As the redhead advanced in him, she brought her foot back, swinging it down onto his stomach. Savage got up quickly, grinning cynically as he punched Meg in the stomach, knocking her to the ground.

"I am a God, Margaret. You are a speck of dust in the oldest library. You see? You'll never win. You never got the guy- or saved your precious family- and you'll never defeat me." He spat, kicking her hard in the stomach.

Meg inhaled deeply, rolling around in pain, too sore to get up. Her stomach was on fire- no doubt signifying broken ribs. Maybe he was right.. she should give up.

Savage advanced towards the redhead, cracklings his already bloodied knuckles.

"Meg- get up! You can do this!" Ray shouted from somewhere behind where the pair was fighting. He sounded occupied at the moment, but his words of encouragement was enough to bring Margaret to her feet. She sucker punched Savage across the face- watching his shocked expression at her bravery.

"You have manipulated me since the day I was born, and I didn't even know." She punched him again in the face, "You aren't going to do it any longer."

Meg's elbow hit him in he nose- a satisfying crack filling her ears. Savage swayed back, blood trickling from his nose.

"You tried to kill me, take my mind away, turn me insane- and even into those weird bird monsters." She blasted him with a ball of light, "You are not my father- and you never will be."

Her hand reached for the dagger in her belt, her fingers itching to shove it through his chest.

"And it may not have seemed like it- but I got the guy. I may have let the darkness take over me, but of course there has to be darkness in order for there to be light." Meg growled, advancing on Savage.

"You can't kill me, Meg. All this? It was for nothing." Savage smiled through a black eye- picking himself up off the ground. Meg smirked, winding up to strike.

"Then apparently you haven't heard the news."
She stabbed him right in the heart, letting his shocked expression turn into one of agony. Blood fell from the side of his mouth as he choked on it," You're little ritual has made you mortal."

Vandal Savage fell to his knees, staring Meg dead in the eyes. The redhead smiled, letting go of the hilt of the knife as he fell backwards onto the ground. The tyrant soon fell limp, his eyes rolling to the back of his head.

Savage was dead.

Meg turned around to meet Ray and Mick, who were staring at Savage's dead body. The Atom ran over to her, wrapping her in a hug to celebrate their victory.
