You headed over to your desk. You still didn't understand how you got home last night. Suddenly, a voice called you back to reality.

"Hello, Lieutenant (L/n)." You looked up. It was Connor. Ugh. This shit again. "I hope you got decent rest after the little incident that happened last night." Wait, what?

"Incident?"

"Yes. I suppose you may not remember. I helped you to a taxi and you passed out on the way to your home. I was able to find the key and get you inside and onto the couch. I apologize for entering without your permission, but it wouldn't have been good if I had left you on the porch." You were glad that the mystery of how you got home was solved, but your anger quickly boiled over.

"You were in my house!? Do you even understand how fucking creepy that is?! I gotta find a better place to hide that damn key!" You groaned, frustrated.

"I apologize if that alarms you, but as I mentioned before. You would've been too cold staying outside. I had to get you inside somehow." He said.

"Just don't do it again." You sighed.

"Got it." He replied. Soon enough, Hank arrived.

"Ah, Jesus." He muttered when he saw Connor. Before either of you could get far, Fowler called.

"Hank! (Y/n)! In my office." You both walked in. You saw Connor following. Ugh.

"Hey Connor, why don't you look around the department. Couldn't hurt to get to know the place, huh?" You said, praying that would distract him. His LED blinked between yellow and blue.

"Alright. If that's what you think is best." Yes. It worked. You faked a smile at him and turned back to Hank as he walked away. Hank smirked a little.

"Nice thinking." He complimented.

"I try." You replied. You both headed inside. You closed the door behind the two of you.

"I've got ten new cases involving androids on my desk every day. We've always had isolated incidents, old ladies losing their android maids and that kind of crap. But now, we're getting reports of assaults and even homicides, like that guy last night. This isn't just Cyberlife's problem anymore. It's now a criminal investigation and we gotta deal with it before the shit hits the fan. I want you two to investigate these cases and see if there's any link." You rolled your eyes as you leaned against the wall with your arms crossed and Hank spoke up.

"Why us? Why do we have to be the ones to deal with this shit? I am the least qualified cop in the country to handle this case! And I know jack shit about androids, Jeffery!"

"I might know a bit about techy stuff, but only what I grew up with. I'm with Hank. This isn't meant for us!" You added.

"I can barely change the settings on my own phone!" Hank agreed.

"Everybody's overloaded! I think both of you are perfectly qualified for this type of investigation!" Jeffery said. Hank stood up, getting hostile. You were glaring at him by now too.

"Bullshit!" You snapped.

"The truth is nobody wants to investigate these fuckin' androids and you left us holdin' the bag!" Hank growled.

"Cyberlife sent over that android to help with the investigation. It's a state of the art prototype. It'll act as your partner." He said. The boiled both of you over.

"Never!" You snapped.

"No fuckin' way! We don't need another partner!" Hank yelled.

"And we certainly don't need that plastic prick!" You agreed.
