You woke up the next morning to another cloudy day. You actually didn't mind this time. You sat up with a yawn, stretching while also cracking your back. You went up to your full body closet mirror and looked over yourself. You did this every morning. You would always look at yourself and see if you could pick out the subtle differences you could see. You had started doing this because of...him. You could see every little change. You still looked the same in body shape and such, surprisingly, but you could see it in your own eyes and just even what you wore. So much had changed, yet you were still relatively the same on the outside.

You sighed, shaking it off as usual, before heading out. You went to go get some coffee started. As you were walking down the hall, something caught your eye in one of the other rooms. You went back and saw Connor in the Sugar Glider's room. You smiled a little, seeing the babies crawling all over him. He spotted you.

"Um...t-they seemed like they wanted attention so I let them out and...I can't get them off." You sighed with a smile while shaking your head. You picked them up and off of him carefully and pet all of them.

"Alright, you nosy little things, stop bothering Connor. He wasn't meant for animals, ya sillies." You teased the babies. They all squeaked before you gave them back to their parents. They all cuddled up for a nap since they were mostly nocturnal animals. You had gotten used to their nightly cries. They were learning to try and be quieter though so you could sleep at night.

"Thank you," Connor said. You shrugged.

"Not much to thank for. I'm used to doing that by now." You replied. You still couldn't help hiding your small smile at the fact he'd thanked you. "Come on. I was on my way to make some coffee." You invited. Connor followed after you out of the room, down the hall, through the living room, and into the kitchen. You got the coffee started as he sat down at the kitchen table.

After you got the coffee going, you sat down in the chair on the opposite side of the table. You and Connor looked at each other, but neither of you had much to say. Connor came up with something to break the awkwardness of the situation.

"Did you sleep well?" You looked at him again. Why the hell not? You nodded.

"Yeah. It was fine the rest of the night." You replied.

"You're feeling alright, I presume. The alcohol's effect was minor?" He said.

"Yeah. I only got like 3 gulps down before you came." You explained.

"That is fortunate. You shouldn't be drinking so much, (Y/n)."

"I know. You've told me. Repeatedly." You said with a small chuckle, half amused at his repeated persistence with your drink amounts. You were a little surprised as you saw him smile a little too, picking up on your humor. You shook it off, ignoring it.

"Well, I don't have many options if you don't listen to me the first time." You couldn't help letting out a small chuckle.

"I have a tendency to ignore people." You agreed.

"I wouldn't put it that way," Connor said, slightly confused.

"Okay, how would you put it?" You asked, leaning back against your chair.

"I would say your strong-willed. Yes, some may call it stubborn, but at least you have courage. You don't back down." He explained.

"Like you?" You replied.

"Me?"

"Yeah. You're focused and you know what you're after. You don't have any bias or anything like that. It's easy for you to make your choices." You said. His LED went yellow and he looked uncertain. Your gaze hardened slightly. Why would that make him uncomfortable?
