"Hank, you are seriously starting to piss me off! (Y/n), I swear you get this attitude from him! You both are police lieutenants! You are supposed to do what I say and shut your god damn mouths!"
"You know what my god damn mouth has to say to you, huh?" Hank growled. You bit your tongue there, not wanting to shout something you'd regret. I need a job, after all.
"Ok, ok. I'll pretend like I didn't hear that, so I don't have to add any more pages to your disciplinary folder cause' it already looks like a fucking novel! And (Y/n), I don't need to see you catching up with him! This conversation is over!" He yelled.
"Jeffery, Jesus Christ, why are you doing this to us!? You know how much we hate those fuckin' things! Why are you doing this to us?" Hank said.
"Listen, I've had just about enough of your bitching. Either you do your job or you hand in your badge! Now if you'll excuse me, I've got work to do!" He said, turning back to his computer. Hank stormed out of the office. You headed after him. "(Y/n)..." You paused. He sighed. "Listen, I can't do anything about it. Whether you and Hank like it or not, that android works with you." You growled a little.
"Whatever you say, Captain." You muttered and left. You went back to your own desk and sat down. You looked at Hank. "You alright?" You asked.
"I can't believe this." He grumbled. You sighed.
"Maybe after this is over, we should just be done."
"No. You worked hard for this. Don't let me drag you down. After this, we get rid of that thing. Deal?"
"Heh, good luck. I'm not getting in trouble with you."
"Just offering." He replied. Then, Connor came over, obviously having noticed you two were done with Fowler. You both ignored him. Still, he tried to talk to both of you.
"It's an honor to be working with both of you. I'm sure we'll make a great team!" He's even got friendly shit written into his program. Good God, what next? "Is there a desk anywhere I could use?" He asked.
"Noone's using that one," Hank said, pointing to the third desk that was empty. He nodded and sat down in it. He could see both of you easily, but you hated how close he had to be all the time. He turned to Hank.
"You have a dog, right?" You raised an eyebrow at him.
"How do you know that?" Hank asked.
"The dog hairs on your chair. I like dogs. What's your dog's name?" He asked.
"What's it to ya?" Hank said. After a short pause, he gave in. "Sumo. I call him Sumo."
"Do you listen to Knights of the Black Death? I really like that music. It's full of...engery." Connor said.
"You listen to heavy metal?" Hank asked.
"Well, I don't really listen to music, as such, but I'd like to." You grinned a little.
"I think it's flirting with you." You teased.
"You are so immature," Hank grumbled back. You chuckled. Connor turned to you.
"I noticed the drawings on your desk, Ms. (L/n). Do you like drawing? They're very good." You looked at your drawings again.
"Why do you care about art?" You asked.
"I thought they were interesting." He replied. You thought about it a little.
"It's something I do to pass the time. I guess I've learned a few things over the years." You replied.
"I see that you won a talent show ribbon. What was it for? Did you make drawings for that as well?" He asked.
"Ha! No way! (Y/n) here is full of surprises!" Hank said.
"Shut up, Hank. It was a long time ago." You said.
"What did you win it for?" Connor asked. You looked at him. You stayed silent for a moment.
"....I sang something at the talent show. It wasn't even that good."
"Not good my ass. You can sing." Hank said.
"Whatever." You muttered.
"I bet you have a lovely singing voice. I'd like to hear it sometime." You froze. You looked away from him, saying nothing.
"Maybe it's flirting with you, (Y/n)." Hank teased, bringing you back to the present.
"Shut up." You retorted. Connor asked another question.
"Have you both know Fowler for long?"
"Yeah, too long," Hank replied, looking back towards his office.
"If you have any files on deviants, I'd like to take a look at them," Connor said.
"Terminal's on your desk. Knock yourself out." Hank replied, pointing to it. Connor nodded. He scanned through a few before downloading all of them.
"243 files...the first dates back nine months. It all started in Detroit...and quickly spread across the country." He began. "An AX400 was reported to have assaulted a man last night. That could be a good starting point for our investigation." You glared at him a little. Since when does the android tell the owner what to do? Hank looked just as enthused as you were. Connor stood up and went over to Hank. Hank turned, trying to ignore him. "I know you didn't ask for this investigation, Lieutenant, but I'm sure you're a professional-"
"Why don't you go fuck yourself?" Hank replied.
"I've been assigned this mission, Lieutenant. I didn't come here to wait until you feel like working." You were surprised, but what Hank did next really didn't surprise you.
"Listen, asshole. If it was up to me, I'd throw the lot of ya in the dumpster and set a match to it. So stop pissing me off, or things are gonna get nasty." He growled. Then, Chris came over.
"Lieutenant (L/n), Lieutenant Anderson, uh, sorry to disturb you." He began. "I have some information on the AX400 that attacked the guy last night. It's been seen in the Ravendale district." Chris explained.
"We're on it," Hank replied, still glaring at Connor. He began to head out. "Come on, (Y/n). Let's go." You got up and followed after him. You glanced back at Connor. You rolled your eyes and kept going, catching up to Hank as you headed off to see if you could find anything.
