Over Him... (Sort Of)

CHRIS POV

"You still messing with that black girl?" My boy Jason asked. Here we go with this conversation. Ever since my friends found out about Jada it's been mixed feelings. "Yeah, why?".

"I'm just saying... I thought you and Brooke were getting back together" he said.

"She's around but we aren't getting back together. Actually I just saw her last night" I said.

"Not for nothing. Her name is Jada right? She's pretty. I would wife that up quick" Andrew chimed in. Side eyeing him "watch yourself".

"For what? Stating facts. Jada is a beautiful woman. And you're just using her for sex. Whenever you get tired of her. I won't have a problem taking her myself" he said.

"Drew... seriously watch your mouth. Jada is off limits" I said.

"Wait? Are you catching feelings for her?" Jason asked.

"What?! No!" I said.

"You're lying. But I can see why if you do" drew said. Rolling my eyes cause these two were pushing it. I went on my phone just checking some things. When I came across a picture.

Looking at the photo Jada looked so good. I loved it when she smiled at me like that. I would always poke her dimples. Seeing Paula in the back left. And Chasity next to Jada. Hmm... she never told me she was going out tonight.

"What are you looking at?" Drew peeked at my phone.

"Damn she looks pretty here. That smile!" He said. Putting my phone away. "I know now to keep Jada away from you". He put his hands up "Why?". Ignoring his question my mind went to why Jada didn't tell me she was going out.

She knows I like to know if she goes out exactly where she is. Crazy world out there. "So when are you two going to get serious?" Jason asked. Shrugging my shoulders "I don't know. We are both content where we are now. Why change it?".

"Because neither of you are getting any younger. Jada won't stand for just being a fuck buddy" he said.

"We'll cross that bridge when we get there. But for right now she's content with what's going on" I said.

"If you say so..." drew said. I have to keep my eye on him. When I got home I took out my phone. I was tempted to text Jada to find out how come she never told me about her plans for the night.

"Nice pic" I texted.

"Thank you 😁" she texted.

"Didn't know you were going out" I texted.

"Let's not start this please! I'm having a good time so far. And plus what's it to you anyway we aren't together like that" she texted.

I had to hold myself from saying something "you're right. I forgot. Have a nice night" I texted. Knowing if I had said that she would end up calling me to make sure I wasn't upset. My phone went off... told you.

"Yeah".

"You're not mad right? I didn't think you wanted to know what my plans were" she said.

"No I'm good. You were right. We aren't together so I should care about your well being" I said.

Hearing Chasity yelling at her to hang up the phone and come dance. I don't know why that made me upset. "Look I have to go".

"Yup" I said.

"Chris come on don't do this!" She whined.

"Do what?" I asked.

"This?! You always do this when I'm out. It's not fair" she said.

"Jada just go have a nice night, okay? I'm not upset. I'm just tired" I lied. She was quiet for a minute. "Okay". She ended the call. I was beyond pissed off but I didn't want to ruin her night. She was right we are not together but I can't help but wanting to know where she is at all times. And her friends don't help. I know they're against Jada being with me. Especially chasity... she's expressed her concerns to me numerous times over how I treat Jada.

In my defense I think I was treating Jada like gold. Despite we aren't in an actual relationship I still spoil her and worry about her. Even buying her a brand new car so she could get around. And I'm getting looked at as this horrible person.

I needed a distraction... texted Brooke to come over. Even though she doesn't compare to Jada but she helps me forget about her for the moment. Plus, Brooke isn't a fan of Jada's anyway.
