Over Him... (Sort Of)

JADA POV

Feeding Gianna her breakfast. Chris came in grabbing the paper that was on the counter. "Morning family" he smiled. He kissed Gianna on the head and came to kiss me but I moved.

"I see mommy is still mad" he said.

"And I see daddy is still trying me" I said.

He smiled and sat down across from me "the only thing I'm trying is something you won't give me".

"Chris I have a jar of applesauce... I won't hesitate to throw it at you. Remember the lettuce?" I asked.

He nodded "how could I forget?!".

Glancing at him "don't mess with me".

He sipped his protein shake "are you going anywhere today?".

"Why?" I asked.

He shrugged "no reason. Just want to know"

"If you are asking because you have that guy following me everywhere... then yes" I smiled.

"What guy?!" He asked. Like Chris loves to play dumb when he gets caught.

"Okay you don't know the guy you paid to follow me. Anyway I don't mind cause he's cute so..." I smiled.

Chris whole facial expression changed "yeah he's getting fired now".

I smiled "why? When he's around I feel protected. You know he paid for my coffee the other day?".

"That defeats the purpose of having him discreetly follow you" he said.

"Oh well" I smiled. Chris picked up his phone "Marco? You're fired!". Shaking my head cause the only reason he's doing this is because I said the guy was cute.

"Yes you heard me! You are horrible at this by the way. Pick another profession" he said.

"That's mean" I said.

Chris ended the call "whatever".

"Aww is daddy upset now?" I teased.

Chris roller his eyes "can't let me just try and keep you safe..."

"One for mommy and zero for daddy" I joked.

CHRIS POV

"Do you know Marco is a horrible worker! He literally paid for jada's coffee. Isn't he suppose to be incognito?" I asked.

"Look I'm sorry that happened. I made a switch to what Marco does. He's no longer in that department" my boy said.

"I could've done a better job blind folded. You're suppose to be following a person and you buy them coffee. Makes no sense" I said.

"You're right. But Marco found Jada very attractive. He couldn't help himself. That's actually my fault" he said.

"Unbelievable" I said. Jada came back from getting her coffee "I'll call you later". Ending the call... I watched Jada as she sat in the seat.

"That took long enough" I said.

"Chris, it's Starbucks not Dunkin' Donuts" she said.

"All that caffeine isn't good for your body" I said. She moved her hand as I'm talking too much " it's true".

"Don't care I need coffee" she said.

We sat on a red light... Jada was too busy sipping her coffee. Looking out my window and I happened to see officer brown. Weird. "Isn't that officer bullshit?".

I nodded "that's him..."

"And wait there's Paula!" Jada said. We sat there watching Paula wall up to officer brown smiling. They seem like they know each other.

"Son of a bitch! She knows him. Which means he's on her side..." Jada said.

"Which means... he's going to try his best to bring you down" I said. She sighed "great". They walked across the street in conversation. A horn blared which woke us both up from staring at the problem infront of us.

"Jesus! The light just turned green!" Jada said.

I drove but made a circle around the block to try and catch up with the double mint twins "are you following them?".

"Trying to" I said.

Jada smiled "ooo this is exciting!".

Pulling up slowly I saw them talking in a corner. " don't believe this" Jada said.

"Look she's giving him an envelope! She's probably paying him to blame what she did on you" I said.

Jada shook her head "I'm speechless!".

"See this is why I stressed that you shouldn't be hanging out with anyone. You don't know who's plotting against you. Paula was just with you the other night and now she's playing off a cop!" I said.

Jada didn't say anything. Turning to look at her she was full blown staring with tears falling down her cheeks.

"Don't worry we will beat them!" I said.

She just sat there... quiet.
