"Goodmorning, Gavin."

"Mhm..." I mumbled. I felt him kiss the back of my shoulder.

"Rough night, Gav?" He asked.

"I don't fuckin' know. I just want to sleep in longer. I don't want to go in today." I grumbled.

"I apologize, but I'm afraid it's not an option, Detective."

"Can't I call in sick?"

"I would still go to work." I groaned again.

"...Fine." I felt him kiss my neck.

"How about I make breakfast today? It'll make you feel better." He offered. I grinned.

"What if I'd rather have you stay here with me?" I asked.

"I suppose I can spare a few minutes~" I blushed. I wasn't actually expecting him to stay. I thought he would just get up and go to start getting things ready. I suddenly felt him start kissing my neck again. My blush deepened. Shit, what did I just do to myself!? I began to panic. Was he actually going to risk us being late by starting this now?

I tensed even more my I felt his hand drift lower. I bit my lip, trying not to give him the satisfaction. I heard him growl. "Is this why you wanted me to say, Reed~?" I swallowed hard.

"I-I don't know what you're talking about." I gasped slightly as I felt him nip my shoulder. My face was burning by this point and my body was starting to heat up.

"C-Collin..." I muttered out, still not wanting to give him the satisfaction of giving in.

"Times up." He said suddenly and I shrieked as he pushed me out of bed. The sheets fell on top of me and I heard him get up. "I'll go start breakfast. You'd best get dressed, Gavin." moved the sheets and I saw him leave the room. I glared after him.

"Fuckin' teasing bastard," I muttered. Still, I was blushing like no tomorrow. God, how can I hate and love someone so much at the same time? I got up and rubbed the back of my neck. Fuck, that actually hurt. I stood up and walked over to my closet. I threw on something suitable for work and then I went to the bathroom. I made sure my hair didn't look like a mess and I splashed some cold water on my face to wake myself up a bit.

Once I was a bit more awake, I headed out to see what Collin was making. My stomach growled loudly as I got closer to the kitchen, the smell making me walk faster. I found him making pancakes, bacon, and sausage. I also saw that the coffee has just finished. I quickly went to grab a cup and he turned as I arrived.

"Glad you finally decided to get up." He teased. I rolled my eyes and focused on getting my coffee. I grabbed one of my bigger mugs and poured a cup. Soon, I heard Collin grabbing a plate. My stomach growled again as I added the creamer to my drink. I heard him chuckle. "Somebody sounds hungry this morning."

"Whatever, tin can." I retorted, taking a sip of my coffee. I smiled a bit. Coffee did always put me in a better mood, even if I refused to show it at work. Collin set down the food on the table and I quickly sat down.

"I'm going to go start getting myself ready." He announced and headed off to go change. I began to eat and I smiled, blushing. I really did love it when he cooked for me. He was amazingly good at it.

I finished my food as soon as he came back out, in his suit once again. I frowned a little. I didn't know why he still wore that thing. I wasn't really thinking as I blurted out the question.

"Why do you still wear that thing?" He looked surprised and, to be honest, I was a bit surprised myself. His LED spun yellow for a few moments.

"What...what else would I wear?" He asked. I wasn't really prepared to answer that.

"Uh...well...Connor wears different shit, maybe ask him?" Collin looked unsure.

"I don't really think his style is meant for me. I don't want to be exactly like my brother."

"Uhg, thank god for that. I can only handle so much of Connor." Collin gave me a stern look.

"You do realize he's still my family, Gavin." I sighed.

"Yeah, yeah, I know. But he's mainly (Y/n)'s problem-" I cut off, remembering that (Y/n) was still missing. I frowned. Collin's expression softened.

"Gavin, are you alright?" He asked. I said nothing for a moment.

"Yeah...sorry..." I muttered, staring at my nearly empty cup of coffee. He walked over an hugged me from behind.

"She will come back, Gavin." He assured me. I sighed.

"I...I don't know anymore. It's just...this is still my fault."

"This isn't your fault. You need to stop being so hard on yourself." I sighed.

"I-I know, I just-...*sigh* I can't help it. I'm...used to blaming myself." I muttered. He let go and moved to kiss my cheek.

"Then I suppose we'd better work on changing that." I smiled at him, glad that he understood where I was coming from.

"Thanks, Nines." He smiled at the nickname. He really did like that one.

"Always, Gavin." He promised. I stood up and I gave him a kiss.

"By the way, how the hell are you not hot in that? Don't you have an overheating thing?" I asked.

"Yes, but my suit is actually very breathable. It was specially designed that way." I nodded.

"Yeah, guess it would have to be."

"Are you ready to go?" He asked.

"Hold up, gotta brush my teeth now. I'll be out in a few minutes." I told him. He nodded and waited on the couch where the cats were cuddling. I smiled a bit as I looked back, seeing him petting the heap of mismatched fur. I went to go brush my teeth and then I went back out to join Collin.

We headed off to work and we both checked in as we walked up to the front desk. After that, we went over to our desks. Collin instantly got to work, but I went to go grab a donut quick. Collin gave me a tiny smile as he saw me heading over to the Cafe. I shrugged and kept walking. I got what I wanted and headed back over to him.

When I got there, I saw that he was looking toward the entrance. I was confused by this. I set my donut down on a napkin on my desk. "Hey, what the fuck are you lookin' at-?" I cut off as I saw what he was staring at. It...it can't be. I saw Connor had a smile on his face, but I was more focused on who was with him. Almost the entire station came to a standstill as more and more people noticed her.

"She's back!" Chris was the first one to say anything. He went up to greet her and others quickly followed. She smiled at everyone. I walked over, following Collin. She soon spotted me and walked up to me.

"Hey, Gavin. It's been a while, hasn't it?" I was still too stunned to process what I was seeing.

"(Y/n)...you're back?"
