Chapter 176

"A-aren't you going to get going? I mean, thank you for your help, but I'll be okay from here." She smiled, but there was something...different about it. 

"Oh, I don't think you will." You looked at her, confused. Then, you began to recognize her. She was the same girl who'd given you the package from Kamski with his modified blue blood formula. 

"W-what do you-"

"You know, we've never actually met, but he sure did talk a lot about you."

"What?" She rolled her eyes. 

"Have they really not told you? I thought Cassandra was smarter than that. She thinks she can protect you all by herself. Well, I can tell you she's wrong." You forced yourself to sit up.

"I don't know who you are, but I didn't come to play your games." You growled. "Get out of my house." 

"You really think you're in any state to be ordering me to do anything?" She asked with a snarky tone. 

"Who the hell are you?" 

"I told you. Jezebeth. Jezebeth Jules." You froze. 

"B-but...J-Jules is-"

"Shane's last name. Trust me, I know that already. I'm his sister that they never told you about. They knew about me, but nobody ever thinks that little JJ would show up."

"W-why are you here? What do you want from me? Wasn't your insane brother enough?"

"My brother wasn't insane!" She lashed out. "He was the only family I had left and he was right about those stupid walking sacks of hardware! You're all dangerous! You killed him in cold blood!" It was then you understood.

"You're wrong. He tried to kill us. He killed many of my people and he was willing to kill humans to get what he wanted too. Your brother was a monster."

"No! The real monsters are creatures like you! You lied about my brother! He was just trying to set things right! He was trying to make things how they were supposed to be! Androids are made by us! They belong to us! They aren't alive! And now we have half-bloods like you around! The 'miracle survivor' who can manipulate anybody into doing your sick twisted shit!"

"Whoever told you this is lying to you. Your brother fucked an android and ran off when I caught him in the act."

"Shut up! I'm not falling for your lies! You killed my brother and now I'll make sure your precious robot boy-toy will suffer! He'll suffer just like I did! He'll find you dead just like how I saw on the news that my brother was 'put down' by the police!" She hissed, pure hatred in her gaze. Your body was starting to shake and it was then that it all made sense. 

"W-what did you do to me?" You coughed.

"I gave you a specially developed chemical meant to contaminate you thirium and kill you from the inside out. Unfortunately, your sister discovered it when that little brat began to mutate and grow faster than normal. It ended that little spawn which both made my day. It was fun to watch you both suffer for months on end and it was a wonderful thought to know that I could kill you so easily and Connor would just hear about it. It would make the pain even worse for him. The love of his life dying while still angry or terrified. He would forever be uncertain if you would've forgiven him. The only potential issue was he might not have ever found out that you'd died with you being so secretive and careful."

"S-so you're saying that it was because of you that my baby died!?" You exclaimed.

"Correct!" She said with a grin. You glared at her.

"You're even worse than your brother!" That set her off.

"I'M NOT WORSE!" She screamed. "I'm better because I can finish what he started! I will finally be able to walk away with a clear conscience for not helping him those years ago. I'll make it up to him by finishing you off and making that bastard suffer!"

"Not on my watch!" You were both shocked Cass burst into the room. "Get away from my sister!" The fight broke out and it turned out that Jezebeth had a dagger and a gun. Cass was able to get the gun away, but the dagger was becoming an issue.

"Jay! Get the antidote!" Jay hurried over to you while Cass kept Beth busy. Jezebeth looked enraged. 

"NO!" Cass screamed in pain as Jezebeth cut her shoulder. Before anybody could react, the knife was in Jay's stomach area. 

"JAY!" He collapsed and Cass instantly went to tackle Jezebeth. Jezebeth went for the gun and swung it hard at your sister. It knocked her out and she aimed it at you. You froze, knowing you couldn't defend yourself. Instead, you quickly dove for the bottle Jay had. You drank it, having no other ideas, and you prayed it would keep you alive. That is if Jezebeth didn't just shoot you right then and there. She looked enraged, but the grin returned soon enough. 

"You know what? I have a better idea. I'll make sure his world crumbles around him. Connor won't last a day with his sanity after I'm done. But first..." She strode up to you, confidence evident in her poster. She raised the gun. "lights out." The gun cracked over your head and the world went black.
