The description said to take a half or one pill one to three times a day, but I figured that that would do nothing for me, so I decided to just pour a bunch out and take them at once. Alison wouldn't know.
I quickly put the bottle back in her bag and swallowed the pills without water, almost choking on them when the door opened and Alison looked inside. She frowned.
'What are you doing?' Her eyes went from me to her bag and back. I coughed and inhaled deeply.
'Eh... Your bag fell, so I put it back.'
'Shit, is my camera okay?,' she asked, grabbing her back and taking the camera out for inspection. I shrugged, pulling my shirt over my head.
'Is it?'
'Yeah, I think,' she answered. She put the camera back in the bag and placed it on her bunk. She eyed me up and down, making me feel a bit self-aware.
'What?,' I asked her, hoping that I sounded annoyed and not insecure. My attitude made her look away and she sighed.
'You look like shit,' she muttered.
'Thanks...' My stare burned a hole in her head and Alison turned around, ready to leave.
'Oh, by the way -' Her eyes met mine again. '- party at All Time Low's bus tonight.' I nodded and she smiled weakly, leaving me alone when she closed the door behind her.
I didn't know whether I was in the mood for a party, especially not when after not all too much time after taking the pills, I started to feel slow and sleepy. I was hanging around with the lads in the back lounge, watching them play a video game, but my eyes got so heavy and so hard to keep open, that I decided to go sleep in my bunk for a while. When I got up I noticed I was a bit dizzy and I staggered for a moment, trying to find balance by leaning against the wall.
'You okay, Syko?,' Matt asked, briefly looking up from his video game. Alison looked at me too, and I nodded.
'Yeah...' I felt my limbs getting heavy and I tried to make my way to my bunk, climbing in with some difficulty before laying down and sighing deeply. My head was spinning a bit, but it was light and empty and I liked it. It was by far not the psychedelic high that ketamine gave me, but it was better than nothing and the fact that my mind was empty from worries and other things for once was a nice side effect. The only thing it had in common with K was that it made me very drowsy and tired afterwards.
I stared at what was the top of my bunk and the bottom of Matt's for a moment, feeling my eyes fall shut in a heavy darkness that seemed to last only a minute before a someone was shaking me vigorously and calling my name.
'Oliver!' Opening my eyes was difficult because my eyelids felt so heavy, and my eyes had to focus for a moment until I saw half the band stare at me. I groaned and rubbed my face.
'Holy fuck, mate, you were in a coma!,' Kean stated with a frown.
'What time is it?,' I asked groggily, feeling my eyes droop again.
'Nearly nine PM,' Jona answered. '
'What?' The time surprised me, since I could have sworn I had only slept for a moment and I had gone to bed around three.
'Get up, dude. We're leaving,' Matt said, pulling my ankle.
'To where?,' I croaked, not understanding since my mind was still foggy and my head heavy.
'The party? Where else?' Matt frowned at me. 'You feeling well?'
'Yeah, I do...,' I lied. I didn't feel good at all, but I figured that some water and later some booze would do me good. 'You lads go ahead, I'll follow...' The guys shrugged and after they got ready they left the bus. I sighed at the sudden silence, only now realizing how much noise the band could make.
