He then finally burst out laughing when Soobin and Kai immediately departed from each other. Kai, even though his cheeks were still painted pink, lifted his chin with indignation. "I-I don't know what you're talking about," He pointed at Soobin. "He's the one that likes to stick to me."
"Me?! You're the one who's always. . ."
Taehyun shook his head, walking away so he wouldn't hear the debate between who was stickier than the other. It was adorable and entertaining, but they did it so often that Taehyun and Beomgyu would just try to change the subject every time the "who's-the-gum-between-us" argument would start going around.
"Come on, Gummies!" Taehyun called, already catching up to Jennie. "We don't wanna get behind, do we?"

After Jungkook had introduced them to the tribe and after one of the apprentices threw a coconut that landed on Taehyun's head, Yeonjun had decided to take his four friends to his den, which was basically a small dwelling made out of sticks, bark, branches and mud mixed with sap to glue everything together.
"Are you comfy?" Yeonjun chuckled as Beomgyu ran his finger through the the soft fabric of his new and slightly oversized hanbok with a wide and curious stare.
The younger looked at him with wide eyes. "What is it made out of?"
"Silk." Taehyun replied for Yeonjun while tying a strap of clothing around his waist so the lower part of his own hanbok wouldn't fall off while walking.
Yeonjun looked over at him, his eyebrows arched, he was quite impressed. "How do you know?"
"I made a pair of mittens with the same items," He glanced sternly at Beomgyu as small poison ivy stems grew just bellow his feet. "Someone carbonated them, though."
"It was an accident, I'm sorry!" Beomgyu blurred out, a small whine escaping him. "I got angry and fired at the guards. I'm sorry, Tae."
"Wait, you still have anger issues?"
"Well. . . Beomgyu has been very emotionally sensitive ever since you left." Kai explained, grabbing some of the healers he had been given and spread them all over Soobin's scaled back, making the older sigh with contentment at the small back massages that Kai provided him with.
A small silence spread all over the walls of the den.
It had been no joke that the four boys had mourned the loss of their friend. They had all been extremely distraught by the older's departure, but Beomgyu had been extremly heartbroken. . . It had been as if he had lost one of Kai's friendship bracelets or the powers that he had always counted on. He had also refused to eat the tiny food portions that the facility provided, and he had distanced himself from his friends for almost a year.
It hadn't been easy for any of them, but the hole that Yeonjun had left carved in his heart had been too great to be healed that easily.
"It was a harsh time. . ." Beomgyu mumbled, his eyes darkening slightly.
As soon as he saw the sad look in Beomgyu's eyes, Yeonjun let out a frown. He hated to see his little Beomgyu get sulky, and he certainly felt guilty after disappearing for three years without being able to show them a sign that he was still alive and well. After a few moments, he sneaked his hands towards Beomgyu's and interlocked their fingers together. He knew that a certain trio of gossipers were now staring at them intently, but he didn't care.
"Beomgyu. . . Can we talk?" He bit his lower lip as soon as Taehyun, Soobin and Kai leaned their heads forward, and let their ears open up to what Yeonjun had to say to Beomgyu. "Privately." Yeonjun grunted, making the three boys groan with frustration.
Beomgyu felt shivers run down his back and his heart raced faster than lightning. Even though he felt utterly nervous at the thought of privately talking to Yeonjun alone, he put his big-boy face on and nodded before Yeonjun helped him up.
As the two walked out of the den and scurried towards the thick undergrowth of the jungle, Kai and Taehyun shared a glance, both of them knowing what to as they stood up as well. . . But a yawn interrupted their secret escape. "You two better not even think about it, go to sleep. It's late."
The two tattletales sighed. "Yes, Hyung." They said quietly before curling against Soobin's sides. The older put his arms around the two youngsters and closed his eyes to finally fall asleep with the other two. Taehyun and Kai relaxed beside him before letting gentle snores when they fell asleep.
Or that's what Soobin thought. . .
