THE MERCURIAL ??

"Are you planning on getting yourself drunk?"

Logan asked, ordering a drink from himself while sitting next to Iris in the drink bar

"No, I am sulking. This is me sulking...."

She takes another sip, Ella pats her arm

"Cheer up..."

"Great, hearing that suddenly makes me feel cheered up..."

Iris rolled her eyes and gave a sarcastic comment, noticing that may have sounded harsh, she added,

"Sorry, I'm just frustrated that why doesn't she understand the truth? Why won't she believe me?"

"Some people....don't believe the truth even when they know it..."

Logan looked down, speaking in a low tone

"What's with this gloomy party going on over here?"

Lucy beamed, drinking from the glass in her hand

"It's a party so lets enjoy! No need to dwell and mourn! This is the time to drink and dance! Yay!"

Her voice raised, becoming excited she raises her glass up in the air. Unfortunately for her, she is met with dull gazes with the opposite energy than hers.

"A little heads up but the next time I say yay, you guys repeat after me..." She adds again raising her glass in the air and cheering, "Yay!"

Again she was met with a boring response. No one raised their glasses or said anything. A few other people did however stared towards her to see what was going on.

"Okay, that was embarrassing and I can't believe you guys made me do that twice. Why are you guys so meh?"

She gave a nervous smile and narrowed her eyes at them

"Why are you so excited? Also how much champagne have you had? I always see you holding a new glass...."

Luke inquired, narrowing his eyes.

"I am just happy that my brother got hitched and that....." Her gaze moved towards Iris, "before we thought Nick was alive but since you both saw him, we now have proof that he is alive. And this place has cameras....though we can't hack them since their system is apparently even more extra protective than that cane man, and I know this because I was using my phone to do it but there was some error but we can work on all that later on."

Lucy explained

"Are we still calling him cane man?"

Ella questioned

"Baldy is better."

Logan added

"Baldy it is then."

Lucy remarked

"This is perfect! We can track dad and then finally prove to my sister and mother that he is alive."

Iris's face lits up

"So...this calls for......time to party!"

Lucy cheered, saying the last word with force

"Guys!"

She hissed, motioning them to cheer with her

"Oh yeah...."

They all raised their glasses as well and said, "Yay!"

"I have a lot to teach you all..."

Lucy sighed and then smiled. They all started laughing.

"Oh, how about we go to the restaurant after this?"

Luke suggested. By restaurant, he meant the restaurant his father owned. The very same place where on the second floor was Lucy's apartment.

"Isn't it closed?"

Logan asked taking the last sip of his drink

"Yeah but we can use it. It'll be fun."

Luke answered

"Drinks and my ice cream...that does sound a lot of fun. Okay, then let's go to the bar!"

Lucy puts her glass down

"Ava and Liam are also going back now after which guests will leave...so lets go now."

Iris remarked

"What about your mom?"

Ella inquired

"Well she is planning on going with Mrs. Wilson to her house. Apparently they are talking after a long time."

Iris replied, unconsciously looking at Logan when mentioning his mother

"Oh, that reminds me. I have to drop mom home since dad left early."

Logan stated

"But we were planning on going to the restaurant on your car?"

Ella said, feeling bummed

"Lucy, don't you drive?"

Iris asked Lucy who gave a nervous chuckle in response,

"Funny story....I don't technically have a driving license....."

"She failed seven times. She either drives too fast or too slow, oh and she doesn't use the brakes at all."

Luke laughed and explained. Lucy's face flushed in embarrassment,

"Hey! I do use the brakes and it's the damn instructors fault for failing me. I can drive just fine."

"Not really. She will only take you to one place instead of your destination..."

Luke whistled motioning towards the sky, everyone started laughing

"Well, since mom is planning on going to your mother's house then she can drop her there, if that's fine?"

Iris suggested, biting her lower lip. She would do that when she was waiting, in this case it was Logan's response.

"Sure...I'll have to ask her though."

"Oh, no problem, I'll ask them. I have to tell my mom that I'm leaving with you guys so will also ask her about this."

Iris said, getting up

"I'll come with you, I also have to tell my mom.."

He also got up and they both start walking towards Vanessa and Victoria, while the rest of them starts walking towards the parking lot. There were a lot of guests that were also about to leave or leaving.

"Oh sure, no problem. I'll take Vanessa with me."

Victoria smiled, it seemed like she was planning on it from the beginning

"Okay, thank you!"

"No problem, you kids have fun."

They both start walking back to the car, when Ava and Liam comes towards them.

"Wait, Iris. I need to talk to you."

Logan sensing that it's probably a talk between sisters, tries to excuse himself but Ava stops him.

"No, you stay as well."
