THE MERCURIAL ??

"Hey."

Nicholas who had now changed his clothes, came to meet everyone at the cruise. They were all sitting below deck.

"So you're the famous Nick...."

"I have got to say, I am actually your fan..."

Alex and Luke remarked, the latter was grinning

Logan then explains everything to him along with Iris.

"So you joined The Mercurial? Why? Does your mother know? Logan, how could you let this happen?"

Nick worriedly started asking questions

"Don't ask me. I tried to object. Ask that to Lucy."

Logan shrugged

"Wait, why is it so wrong for me to join The Mercurial?"

Iris inquired, she was starting to get annoyed

"Because I wanted you to stay away from this life."

"Then why give me the USB in the first place?"

"Because I thought my best student Logan and Lucy will have figure it out that you have the USB after things calm down thanks to my fake death and would have taken it from you. But it seems, I still have a lot to teach you..."

"Huh? How was I supposed to figure it out? You asked me to fake your death and after that, do you know how much in trouble I was thanks to you? They all treated me as their hero and still come to me for help."

"Well, you did good. I am proud of you. You managed to convince everyone that I was dead. You are my student after all."

"Thanks, I guess."

"Okay now that your student teacher reunion is out-of-the-way..." Alex spoke after getting interrupted by Nick, "This can be barely called a reunion." She continued, "Mind telling us what you are actually doing here?"

"Oh yeah, well this is a project directly under Rikky Wilder."

"Who?"

Iris asked at her father's comment

"He's the chairman of The Mercurial."

Logan answers to which Nicholas nods and adds,

"Yes. He is the leader of them all. This is his personal project. He is building efficient, swift, less expensive war weapons that will have more impact but it could be used multiple times. They aren't using bullets but I heard them talk about working with something about quantum energy and a few other scientific terms I couldn't quite make out.....The A93XR1E you were bringing today, that's a code word. I have been under cover here for six months. No one knows who I am. About two months ago, I tried destroying the main machine, but that only cost them a loss of billions of dollars while the machine stood like how it always was. If only I could bring a bomb with me, but sadly I only visit the main land twice a year along with my co-workers and we get checked incase we bring something else. Also, I have to keep up my cover so I can't even build something."

Nicholas explained, he takes a deep breath and continues,

"Even now, I sneaked out of the staff's dorms."

"So, if we destroyed these buildings you will be able to come with us?"

"Yes."

"Then tomorrow we can destroy the place. We will place a bomb at that machine in the centre which will destroy this base and stop them from making things like this further."

"That's good but we don't have a bomb."

"Or do we?"

Luke smirked telling Alex to get up. He opens the hidden cabinet and brings out a diffused timer bomb that hadn't been triggered yet.

"Oh my god!"

Alex exclaimed

"Cool, right?"

Luke grinned

"Cool? I was sitting on a freaking bomb this entire time! Luke! Are you crazy?"

Alex panicked. Iris tries to calm her down.

"Calm down. It's not working. See."

"Well I hate bombs."

Alex scoffed, crossing her arms

"Luke, why did you bring a bomb?"

"I didn't. I found it here."

"Found it?"

Logan narrowed his eyes, wondering why would there be a bomb already here?

Nick starts chuckling slightly,

"Let me guess, this is Art's cruise, isn't it? He did had a habit of keeping a bomb for just in case."

"For just in case?"

"What kind of emergencies need you to keep a bomb?"

"Well, it is helping us now, so I guess it's a good thing."

They heard a loud whistle in the tranquil, calm air where the only thing they could sense was the sea breeze and waves rushing in and out the shore.

"That's my cue. I need to get back to the dorm before they start doing the roll call. You two meet me with the bomb at the same place as today."

Nicholas starts getting up to leave.

"Why do you have to leave us so soon?"

"Don't worry, Iris. We will meet again soon."

He turns around and pulls Iris and Logan both into a tight hug. It was a more loving hug that one gives to someone whom he had been dying to see for a long time.

"It's so good to see you again, I love you both."

"I love you too, dad."

Iris replies while Logan just smiles in response

"You both take care of each other, got it?"

"We can take care of our own self."

They both answered at the safe time

"I know you both can. Seriously take care of yourself. See you."

He then takes his leaves without hearing Iris's remarks which were to take care of himself as well.
