THE MERCURIAL ??

"So that footage is useless."

Lucy and Iris were at the secret base while everyone else were on their jobs. Except Alex who was also a trainee like Iris and had actually gone to some makeup convention with her high school friends. Logan was at the kitchen making coffee for himself.

"Now, it leaves us with Arthur...."

Lucy sighs. Arthur was a really stubborn man, hard to persuade. You can't make him agree to something unless he wants to.

"I was thinking maybe we should look for any other leads because Logan told me about him and his dad and if he doesn't feel comfortable with this then I don't think we should push it. I want to respect his wishes."

Iris retorted,

"That's so sweet."

Lucy spoke in a teasing way. The corner of her mouth turns up, making Iris chuckle

"I was serious."

"I know you were. So, Logan. What do you think after hearing that?"

Startled, Iris turns to find Logan standing behind, holding his coffee mug. She didn't notice that he was there.

"I have no problem with it. Honestly, I think we should ask dad about this. He will surely help us."

He replied, taking a sip of his drink

"Are you sure?"

"Yep. I'm going tomorrow to his house. You can come with me."

He nods

"But aren't you disowned?"

Iris knits her brows in confusion

"I am. My mom doesn't agree with all this and I go there just to meet her. I don't go there for him. I don't care about that stubborn old man at all."

Logan rolled his eyes,

"Okay then that's decided. But if Arthur doesn't agree....I think we should go talk to that informant. He knows everything. He must know about all this as well."

Lucy adds

"Informant?"

Iris inquired

"That drunkard?"

Logan makes a disgusted look, scrunching his face

"Yes, that drunkard. He can help us."

Lucy responds

"But he's a coward and a drunkard, just glare at him and he will tell you everything."

Logan retorts

"Isn't that a good thing? What's the problem, then?"

Iris, who was the oblivious one asked

"No. This means that if someone else were to ask him about if he told anyone any specific information, he would spill the beans quite easily. Our identity won't be safe."

Logan explains

"We will figure something out. Tomorrow I'll send Luke, Alex and Amelia to deal with him."

Lucy states firmly

"There's a problem!"

Max comes rushing in followed by Henry and Luke

"What happened?"

"Frederick is dead."

"But we gave him the warning....he should have gone away by now....why?"

Iris asked,

"That fool sent his own death invitation to Dick."

Alex scoffs

"What does that mean?"

"She means that he invited Dick to meet at a common point to finish their feud once and for all. He said he wasn't going to run away and that he had been planning to kill Dick for a very long time now."

Henry explains

"This is......we only meant to add fuel to the fire, not force people to kill each other..."

Iris mutters to herself out loud

"There will always be things like this when you are in war against the evil."

Lucy tells her, calmly
