"Why is London shooting at us?" Meg asked, gripping onto the back of a chair as the team soared high above East London.
"That's not London- it's Savage's forces. What's left of London are a few refugee camps. Like the rest of the world- everything is mostly obliterated." Rip explained.
Looking out the window of the Waverider, Meg could see Vandal's men in tiny ships shooting at them. Her anger boiled at what he did- with no remorse. This was the last chance they had at stopping him and saving Rip's family.
"Well... Can we find somewhere safe?" Jax asked, folding his arms.
"That might be impossible." Mick grumbled, his hand on his heat gun- as usual, "There's barely anywhere in the world that's safe anymore."
"I'll land us in the outskirts of town- one of the quieter places." Gideon piped up.
"How long until-"
"Until Jonas and Miranda die? Three days. In that time, we can stop Savage and save them." Rip informed his team.
"You said targeting Savage at the height of his power was a bad thing." Stein said, "So why now?"
Rip turned to face the group, "That was when we could follow him throughout history. Now? It's our only choice- we don't have enough time to blindly search for him when we know he's gonna be here."
"Then perhaps some deliberation-"
"There's no time for that, Martin." Rip interrupted Stein.
"According to Gideon, Savage will be out in the open tonight.... Vulnerable." Mick said, a keen smile on his face, "I say we strike."
"Which would require the services of?" Meg asked quirking a brow. She was thirsty for a shot at killing her father- once and for all.
"A killer, klepto, and pyro." Snart answered, lifting his cold gun onto his shoulder, "Sorry Red, you can sit this one out, maybe get a massage. You look a little... Tense."
Meg rolled her eyes at his sarcastic reply, thinking back to her sobbing state just a few hours ago. What she could kill for a time machine of her own and a long nap.
They headed out, including Jax to man the jump ship. Margaret strolled over to the screen, typing a few things to get some surveillance on her four friends trying to capture Savage.
"Meg- anything?" Kendra asked glancing over the redhead's shoulder. Meg shrugged her shoulders as she ran a hand through her hair- turning away from the screen.
"Besides a god awful speech from my tyrant father? No." The Metahuman spat bitterly taking a seat. Her head flopped into her hands as she tightly closed her eyes- using the last few moments she had with Kyle to calm her down- when he was happy and proud of her.
"I know you miss your brother, especially after you just saw him again.... But don't let those emotions distract you." Kendra said. She fiddled with the ring around her finger, trying to cheer Meg up. The Forensic Anthropologist glanced at the ring, anger bubbling in her stomach like boiling water.
"That is not what is distracting me." Margaret grumbled," Kyle isn't a distraction. He's motivation."
"Sorry for-"
"I don't need this from you." The redhead suddenly snapped at Kendra, her hands heating up with blinding swirls of light. Clenching her hands into fists, she looked down at them, angry at herself for snapping.
A frustrated sigh slowly escaped Meg's lips as she stormed out of the main deck. Sparks of light escaped from her fingertips, bouncing off the walls and fading into nothingness- but were kept well hidden into her pockets where her hands hid.
Kendra did not have the right to try and give Meg advice and calm her down, while she wore the ring given to her by someone she had feelings for. Meg did not need her "godly" advice.
Quickly taking refuge in her room, Meg took a seat on her bed as she rummaged under her pillow. There she found a small, crinkled photo of her small, happy family- one she kept close with her these past seven years.
"I'm sorry." She whispered- not sure to who- but it didn't matter anyways.
-
After several minutes of trying to calm herself down- the person who would coax Meg to do just the opposite entered her room.
"I have a proposition." Snart said, raising a brow at me. The redhead looked up, stuffing the picture back under her pillow quickly.
"And what's that?" She asked coldly, arms folded defensively.
"Kendra needs us to do a little jewelry shopping from Savage's side chick. You look like you're in the right mood for some kidnapping." He said.
A smile curled onto Meg's lips as she got on her feet.
"You guessed correctly. Let's go."
Margaret and Snart exited the ship- where Savage's Lieutenant was training soldiers. He handed the redhead his cold gun.
"They won't let me in if I have this. According to Gideon- there's an unguarded entrance on the other side. When I give the signal- I'm gonna need some assistance getting her... tamed." Leonard explained. Wiggling her eyebrows, Meg shouldered his gun.
"Have a weak spot for blondes, do we know?" Meg asked.
"What do you mean?" He questioned her coldly, pressing his earpiece to make sure the two of them could hear each other.
"Oh, I see the way you look at her." She said in a teasing manor. Looking away, Snart sighed.
"No idea what you're talking about."
"Trust me- I'm a Forensic Anthropologist. I notice things. Sara? The ice melts when you're with her."
"We'll discuss this later, we have a bracelet to steal and a girl to kidnap."
"Whatever you say, Romeo."
Snart flipped Meg off- but as he turns away- she could tell there was a smile creeping onto his face. He must have some sort of feelings towards Sara. And since Meg didn't have a nice shot at love... she them to have one.
Carefully, Margaret snuck around the building, easily finding the hidden entrance Snart had told her about. She used a light mirage to keep herself hidden, and waited for Captain Cold's signal. Meg was in the perfect mood to hit something, her fingers tingling from her powers.
How long was it going to be for Snart to take actions? (In a way, both with Sara, and this blonde they were targeting).
"Red- now would be a good time." Snart's voice hissed in Meg's ear- the sound of fighting loud and clear in the background.
Bursting through the door, Meg used the cold gun to freeze the security cameras, and the computers- no doubt wiping their memory. She tossed the gun to Snart, and cracked her fingers.
"Hello- but we need that bracelet." Meg said, dodging a blow from her.
"You'd risk dying for a bauble?" She asked.
"Hey- it goes with his outfit." Meg nodded her head to Snart. He shrugged, before swiftly knocking her out with the butt of his gun.
"Seriously, Leonard?" Meg exclaimed, running a hand through her hair.
"Hey- I did say we might kidnap her..." He sighed, "Don't worry. You get the bracelet and make sure there's room on this ship to keep her hostage. I'll follow with her."
Sighing, Meg nodded, taking the bracelet off her wrist.
"Let's hurry before she wakes up."
-
Savage's Lieutenant woke up in the ship's holding cell, getting up swiftly, Meg smiled to her, waving a hand.
"Margaret Grace, pleasure to meet you." She said, then took a quick look at Rip and Snart, "Mr. Snart, Gareeb- finally I get to meet you."
"How do you know who we are?" Rip asked, folding his arms.
"I know who all of you are."
"Then I see Savage has been rather chatty with his lieutenants."
She smiled coldly, walking up to the edge of the cell.
"If you think I am merely one of Savage's soldiers, then you thought wrong, Rip Hunter." She said.
"I am Cassandra, his daughter."
