In A Matter Of Seconds [Under Editing]

Chapter 2

"Is the cute guy there?" Emely rolled her eyes

"Yes."

"Then yes." She shook her head.

"There's Dr. Wells, Caitlin, Cisco and Barry."

"Barry sounds like a cute name. OH MY GOD! IS HE THE CUTE GUY YOU WERE TALKING ABOUT?!?!?" Emely face palmed herself

Emely didn't say anything which Rachel and Alexis took as a sign.

"OH MY GOD, IT IS! SHE LIKE THE WALKING DEAD AND JANE THE VIRGIN AND CUPCAKE WARS!" There was a pause.

"BARRY, YOU BETTER TREAT HER RIGHT OR I WILL PERSONALLY DRAG YOU OUT TO NEW YORK AND BEAT YOUR ASS!" Emely groaned.

Emely heard a cough so she looked at Cisco who motioned me to look at Barry. She did and he was blushing hardcore.

"Alexis went to her room to calm down. Barry's there, right?"

"Yeah, why?" She scrunched her eyebrows

"Can I talk to him?" Emely looked at Barry who made his way toward her

"Hi Rachel." She heard a gasp come from the phone

"His voice sounds hot." Emely was dying inside of embarrassment due to her two best friends.

"Thank you?" Barry was still blushing

"Barry, since Em thinks you're cute, do you think she's cute?" She looked at Cisco who seemed to be enjoying this. Emely, however, was not enjoying this.

"Uh..." Barry scratched the back of his neck and was still blushing

She heard a scream come from the phone

"THEY CAN MAKE BEMELY BABIES!!!!!!" Emely looked at Barry who looked at her and they both were blushing.

"I'm hanging up now. Call me back when you both have stopped fangirling along with Cisco." Emely hung up and put her  phone away.

"They like to embarrass me a lot. Especially if it's a guy." She looked at Barry

"Its fine. Friends tend to do that." Emely nodded.

There was an awkward silence before Barry stood up.

"I need to go." Caitlin tried to stop him.

"Wait, you can't." Dr. Wells nodded.

"Caitlin is right. Now that you're awake, we need to do more tests. There's so much more that we don't know." Barry turned to look at Dr. Wells.

"I'm fine. Emely and I established that already. I feel normal. Thank you for saving my life." And he left.

"He'll be back in 3...2...1." And he did indeed come back.

"Can I keep the sweatshirt?" Emely laughed.

"Yeah, keep the sweatshirt." She smiled at Dr. Wells' response

"Okay." And he left again.

Dr. Wells turned to Emely.

"Can you make sure he's okay? I have a feeling something will happen." She nodded.

"Sure." He pursed his lips before speaking again.

"Whatever happens, bring him back here immediately." She nodded.

"Got it." Emely chased after Barry who was on his way outside

"Barry, I was wondering if you could show me around Central City. I just moved here." He nodded.

"Where are you from?" They began to walk on the sidewalk.

"New York." He looked surprised.

"Really?" She nodded

"Really." He nodded

"So why did you come down to Central City?"

"I wanted to see the particle accelerator but there weren't any flights earlier so I waited, but then it exploded." He nodded

They began to walk and talk, then ended up making jokes. Emely kept laughing because he was so nerdy. He kept talking about science and looked like a cute nerd.

"Do you really think I'm cute?" She looked away.

"Don't avoid the question." He smiled

"Depends. Do you think I'm cute?" He looked away.

"Don't avoid the question." They laughed.

"I guess. You're really....pretty." He began blushing and Emely mentally awe'd

"Well, then I think you're really pretty as well, Mr. Allen." He laughed.

"Guys can't be pretty." She laughed.

"But they can be cute. Or handsome. Or gorgeous. Or sexy." Emely widened her eyes

"You think I'm sexy?" She shook her head 

"No?" He rolled his eyes

"You do think I'm sexy." Emely shook her head again.

"You're cute." He stopped.

"I'm a man. A grown man. I can't be cute." She giggled.

"You're as cute as a puppy. Now let's go." Emely dragged his arm to make him start walking again.

They walked in silence before she broke it.

"Where are we even going?" Emely looked up at Barry.

"Jitters." She was confused.

Emely had never heard of a Jitters. She didn't know of a Jitters in New York.

"Jitters?" He nodded.

"They sell coffee and bread." Emely cocked her head to the side.

"So like Starbucks?" He nodded.

"Yeah. I guess."

They continued walking until Emely saw a building that said 'Jitters.'

"What are you ordering?" He shook his head.

"I'm not there to order anything." Emely stopped.

"So then why are we headed there then?" He stopped ahead of her.

"To see someone." And he kept walking.

Emely stood there, searching her brain for an answer to who Barry was talking about. As she thought about it, she started to follow Barry closer to Jitters.

As Emely approached the door, she saw a girl with dark hair waitressing. And that's when it hit her.

Barry wasn't going to order coffee or bread. He was visiting Iris.

And for some reason, Emely's heart just shattered.
