In A Matter Of Seconds [Under Editing]

"Good morning, Caitlin." Caitlin gave Emely a warm smile as Emely walked into the kitchen.

Caitlin is used to getting up early. She always has. Emely on the other hand is used to waking up with Barry, but she didn't feel like thinking about him in that moment.

"Good morning, Emely. Coffee?" Emely nodded.

"Yes please. Who was buzzing yesterday?" Caitlin debated whether or not to tell her.

"It was Barry. He was looking for you." Emely didn't respond.

It dawned on Emely that Barry didn't like her, and that Barry still had feeings for Iris instead. Emely felt a feeling inside whenever she thought about Barry liking Iris. Caitlin noticed how quiet Emely had become after she had mentioned Barry, so she changed the subject. 

"We should get going." Emely simply nodded.

The two took Caitlin's car to S.T.A.R Labs. Emely thanked Caitlin for the ride, for the coffee, and for letting her stay over. Caitlin gave her a response as they both entered the facility. Emely walked ahead of Caitlin and she heard Cisco talking to someone. She motiond for Caitlin to be quiet. Emely started tiptoeing toward Cisco, who was oblivious to what was going on behind him. It was quiet for a while, so Emely decided to go ahead and scare Cisco.

"Gotcha!" Cisco jumped at the sound of Emely's voice. 

"Emely, don't do that ever again." Emely giggled as Caitlin entered with a smile on her face. 

"Who were you talking to Cisco?" Cisco began to turn off the monitors. 

"Nobody." Emely narrowed her eyes at Cisco.

"Everybody's out. What else you got for me, Cisco?" 

Emely walked over to the intercom and pressed the button.

"There's a thing called ' Barry Allen, get your ass back to S.T.A.R Labs, now.'" Caitlin smiled at Emely's choice of words. 

The three of them waited as Barry sped back. When he came in, Emely went to reprimand him.

"Have you lost your goddamn mind?" Caitlin dragged Emely away from Barry before she hit him.

"What Emely means to say is what are you doing and who do you think you two are?" Barry glanced at Cisco.

"I'm the eyes and ears and Barry's the feet." Emely turned to Cisco 

"This isn't funny Cisco." She then turned to Barry

"You could've gotten hurt, or killed." Caitlin and Cisco then understood why Emely was mad at Barry. 

Emely was scared that Barry would eventually get himself seriously injured or killed. She didn't want that to happen.

"Emely's right. You can't run around the city like some supersonic fireman." Barry stood in front of Caitlin. 

"Why not? This is what we talked about. Emely, we talked about using my powers for good." Emely shook her head.

"No, Barry, we talked about using your powers to find other people who were affeceted by the explosion. Meta-humans. Other than Mardon, we haven't found any other meta-humans." Barry sighed

"People in this city still need help and I can help them." Cisco nodded in agreement.

"We can help them." Emely sighed in frustration.

"Can you please say something?" Emely turned around to find Dr. Wells rolling into the Cortex. 

"What Caitlin and Emely are trying to say is that we're just beginning to know what you're capable of. I'm not trying to sound like a broken record, but I do caution restraint." Barry glanced at Emely before focusing on Dr. Wells.

"Dr. Wells, I doubt restraint is how you got to be the man you are today." Emely made a noise of disagreement. 

"Barry, he's in a wheelchair. Not the best person to compare yourself with, no offense." Dr. Wells nodded.

"She's right, yet again. I'm in a wheechair and in a pariah. Lack of restraint is what got me here. Know your limits." Dr. Wells rolled away. 

"Don't expect me to patch you up everytime you break something." Caitlin told Barry before following Dr. Wells. 

"Barry, did anything happen to you out there today? The sensors in the suit were kicking back weird telemetry. Your vitals spiked for a moment." Emely glanced at Barry who shook his head. 

"Nothing happened. I've never felt better." Emely knew Barry was lying because he seemed nervous. 

Cisco didn't seem to notice and walked away. 

"Barry, I didn't mean to get mad at you. I just don't want you to hurt yourself." Barry nodded.

"I know that you're worried about me, but I'm fine." Emely shook her head.

"I know you're not." Barry sighed.

Before he could reply, Cisco handed him a buzzing phone. 

Emely walked around as Barry talked to Joe. 

"My day job beckons." Barry smiled at Emely before speeding off. 

Cisco eyed Emely as she sat in a chair. 

"What's up with you?" Emely shrugged.

"Nothing. I met Barry's dad." Cisco's eyes lit up at the news.

"Did you now?" Emely nodded.

"It was really sad. He was really nice." Cisco grinned at her. 

"How did he introduce you?" Emely gave Cisco a look.

"Why are you asking me that?" Cisco raised his hands in defense. 

"I just wanted to know. A certain green eyed speedster may have finally confessed his feelings for a certain brunette person with blue eyes." Emely rolled her eyes at the long haired man.

"You've become obessesed." Cisco scoffed.

"Hey, Barry will eventually confess his feelings for you." Emely shook her head and went for a walk. 

Emely decided to go to Jitters but then decided she didn't want to talk about Barry with Iris, so she took a walk around the city, much like she did with Caitlin. In the midst of her walk, Emely's phone began to vibrate, indicating that someone was calling her. She pulled it out to see that it was Barry.

"Barry Allen, what a surprise. Not." She heard Barry chuckled.

"Nice to speak with you as well, Ms. Hart." Emely rolled her eyes.

"What do you want Barry?" 

"I was going to start processing evidence from a crime scene and I thought, 'Hey, Emely loves science. Why don't you give her a call?' So I did." Emely smiled 

"So you want me to help you process some evidence?" 

"Please? There's no one here and nobody likes it when I talk about science." Emely giggled at Barry's whine

"That's because they don't like you always talking about science, Bare. That's all you talk about." Barry sighed.

"But who doesn't like science?" Emely nodded

"That's true. I'll tell you what. I'll help you process the evidence, only if you agree to feed me." She heard Barry laugh.

"Deal." They both said goodbye and Emley started walking to the police station.

She didn't think of anything else in that moment. All she thought about was her, Barry and science. No, not in the romantic kind of way. She's not ready to admit her feelings for one Barry Allen yet. And Barry hasn't realized that he has feeings for one Emely Hart. So we still have a long way to go. 

Althought, Barry and Emely do have chemistry together.
