"This is nice."
Barry and Emely held hands as they made their way to a bowling lane.
"Yeah, it is." Emely smiled
"I get to finally beat you at something." Barry scoffed
"No, baby, I will beat you again." Emely rolled her eyes.
"Okay, I'd like to see you try." Barry shook his head and pulled her in for a kiss.
"Hi, guys." Emely peered behind Barry to find Eddie and Iris.
"Iris. Eddie. Hey. What are you guys doing here?"
"We thought it would be fun. Barry and I have been bowling here since we were kids. Why don't you join us?" Barry looked at Emely.
"Sure."
Emely smiled when Barry got excited that he got a strike.
"Good job, bebz." Barry smiled
"Thank you." Emely handed him the tray of fries and Barry took some.
"I was wondering if bowling was an actual sport."
"Maybe to some. Others might think it's just a hobby."
"Well, sport or hobby, I am still better than you." Iris wiped some ketchup off of Barry's face.
Emely tensed up and glanced at Eddie who had the same expression.
"Eddie, you're up." Eddie nodded as Barry and Iris were oblivious to the detectives' reaction
"Right."
At the end of the...double date, Emely and Eddie's phone pinged.
"There's a robbery at the morgue."
"Who would wanna rob a morgue?" Eddie shrugged
"Let's go."
***
Emely stared at the coroner's dead body.
"Mayor's made this a high priority."
"Copy that, Captain." Captain Singh turned to walk away only to have Barry spill the drink all over his coat.
"What's with all the water? Did the sprinkler system go off or something?"
"No, I checked all the sprinklers. They're all intact. But look at this." Barry walked over to the coroner and crouched down to show them a piece of ice.
"That's ice."
"Mm-hm. The coroner has multiple impact bruises on his torso, all the size of a tennis ball. Judging by the amount of water and ice on the ground, I'd say he was killed by hail."
"Hail? In here?" Barry nodded
"You think it was Snart?" Emely shook her head.
"It couldn't be. The cold gun he has only freezes people over."
"Joe, Emely, we got something." Eddie walked in with a tape recorder in his hands.
"The coroner's office just installed an automated dictation system." Eddie hit the play button.
"Please. No more."
"I'll stop when you tell me."
"Stop."
"Who killed him? I want a name."
"That's Mardon." Emely listened closely.
"That's Mark. Clyde Mardon's brother. Clyde died, but his brother lives and wants to avenge Clyde's death."
