In A Matter Of Seconds [Under Editing]

"You know him?" Emely's eyes watched the red streak race toward the meta-human before looking at Joe. 

"I think he should tell you." Joe nodded. 

Emely had Cisco on the phone as she listened to what they were saying courtesy of her bluetooth headset. 

"Windspeeds are 200 miles per hour and increasing." Emely stood up and watched from afar. 

"Emely, can you hear me?" Cisco questioned.

"Yeah, I can hear you loud and clear. What's going to happen if he doesn't stop?" The young girl questioned.

"If he keeps it up, then we'll have an F-5 tornado on our hands." Her blue eyes widened as she watched the one thing that could destroy the whole city.

With her heart racing, she ran toward the scarlet speedster. 

"Cisco, it's heading toward the city! How can Barry stop it?" Cisco was silent

"Guys?" No one said anything for awhile.

"What if I unravel it?" Emely was confused.

"How could you possibly do that?" The tornado kept moving closer and closer.

"I'll run around in the opposite direction and cut off its legs." Emely shook her head at the idea. 

"No. That's crazy." Barry sighed

"Emely's right, Barry." The young doctor voiced after hearing Barry's idea. "You may not be able to withstand those speeds. You'll die."

Emely looked wide eyed at Barry. "I can't let you do that, Barry."

"I have to try Emely." He placed both of his hands on her cheeks.

He crashed his lips onto hers and kissed her. 

Barry's arms wrapped around her small waist and she wrapped her arms around his neck. He pulled away after awhile, resting his forehead on hers. 

"Be safe, Barry." He nodded

"I will." He looked into her eyes before speeding away. 

Emely locked her blue eyes on the red streak who started to run around the tornado. It seemed to be working but she then saw a figure flying to the side. 

"Barry." She ran toward the man as he stood up.

"Are you okay?" He nodded

"Its too strong!" Emely and everyone else said nothing.

"You can do this, Barry." Emely heard Dr. Wells say

"You were right. I am responsible for this. All of this. So many people have been hurt because of me. When I looked at you, all I saw was another potential victim of my hubris. And yes, I created this madness. But you, Barry Allen, can stop this. You can do this." Barry looked down at Emely.

"You can do it, Barry. I know you can." Barry smiled at the short brunette before embracing her.

"Now, run, Barry, run." Barry was determined to end this and he took off faster than ever.

Emely's blue eyes were focused on Barry running again. 

"Is it working?" She questioned to her boss.

"Yes, Ms. Hart, it is indeed working." A smile formed on the short brunette's lips.

Her smile then faded as she heard a scream followed by a boom. At last, the fog had faded and she tried to look for the scarlet speedster. She found him struggling to get up and went to help. 

"You're okay." She embraced the taller man as caught his breath.

"I'm okay, Emely. I'm okay." They held each other closely until someone interrupted. 

"I didn't think there was anyone else like me." The blue eyed girl faced Mardon who had a gun up.

"He's not like you, Mardon. You're a murderer which is something he's not." Mardon looked at the short brunette.

"You brought your girlfriend so she can watch you die. How tragic." The scarlet speedster clenched his jaw in anger. 

"She's not my girlfriend and no one's gunna die." Mardon laughed dryly as he quickly took Emely into his grip.

Emely was a bit disappointed at Barry's response to Mardon. She then questioned why Barry had kissed her. 

Mardon held up the gun to Emely's head and looked back at the scarlet speedster.

"Either you let me go, or she dies. And if I kill her, I'll kill you." Emely struggled against Mardon's grip.

She looked wide eyed at Barry, who looked furious and worried. 

"Let her go, Mardon. Let her go and nobody gets hurt." 

Joe witnessed this whole thing and he walked around the three of them so he was behind Mardon. He knew who the scarlet speedster was; his voice gave him away. He saw the look on the speedster's face when Emely was in danger so he acted quickly. 

Mardon, however, was unaware of what was in plan, so he let Emely go and held up his gun to shoot her.

"Say goodbye to your precious girlfriend." 

And all that was heard was a gun shot.

Barry raced for Emely before the bullet made the impact with her. Emely looked up at Barry, who had tackled her.

"You saved me." He nodded

"I can't let you die." She looked at him for a minute before pecking his lips. 

As she was pulling away, he captured her lips again and began kissing her. 

Joe looked at Mardon, who was dead, then back at the pair. He was surprised to see them in a liplock. His heart warmed at the thought of the two of them actually becoming a couple. He coughed to get their attention which he successfully did. 

Emely blushed as Barry helped her up. She looked at Joe who was smiling.

"We should get some rest, yeah?" The two men agreed and Barry began walking with Emely as Joe headed in the opposite direction.

"I just remembered that I don't have a place to stay. My luggage has been at S.T.A.R Labs ever since I've been in Central City." Barry grinned down at Emely. 

"Is this your way of asking if you can be my cuddle buddy." Emely looked up at Barry. 

"Oh poo, you found out." They laughed.

"But seriously, if you need a place to stay, you can stay with me." Emely hugged Barry and he sped her home. 

He handed Emely some of his clothes which was big on her. She only wore a shirt since it was big on her.

"I think we both need some much needed sleep." Barry nodded. 

"I agree, Ms. Hart." Emely giggled as her and Barry got into the bed. 

Emely was far away from Barry, not wanting to make him uncomfortable. 

"Why are you so far away." Barry pouted.

Emely smiled at Barry's pout and scooted closer to him. Barry automatically wrapped his arms around her tiny waist and she rested her head against his chest. She felt her eyes getting heavy and the comfort of the bed making her sleepier. 

"Goodnight Emely." She felt a kiss being placed on her hair.

"Goodnight Barry."
