Chapter 34

She walked over to him until she was in his face.

"You're gunna work with us whether you like it or not." He stared at her.

"Sorry, I'm not scared of short people." Emely pouted. 

"You're a meanie." She stuck out his tongue which made Oliver look at Barry.

"You sure you like this?" Emely smacked Oliver's (very hard) chest.

"Yeah, I do like that." Emely smiled at Barry.

"Felicity, Barry and I can go to S.T.A.R Labs while you stay here since you're being a big butt and don't wanna work with us." Barry took Emely and sped her to S.T.A.R Labs before going back to get Felicity.

"You're shirts on fire." Emely helped put it out when she noticed Cisco, Caitlin and Lily.

Emely handed Felicity her bag and covered her chest. Caitlin quickly handed her a S.T.A.R Labs sweatshirt. 

"What brings you to Central City?"

"I'm here because of this." Cisco gasped

"Awesome. What are the wings made out of?" Cisco took it out.

"I'm not sure. I'm thinking some sort of composite or high density plastic." 

"Reinforced with carbon fiber. Oh, that's weird. It almost feels like it's-"

"Vibrating." Cisco nodded.

"Yeah." 

"Oh, I wanna run some tests and I wanna run them right now." Cisco and Felicity walked away.

"So, how do you know Felicity?" Emely turned to Lily.

"She's from Starling City. She's here with two other guys." Lily nodded. 

"Dr. Wells wants to see you and Emely." Emely looked at Barry.

They walked in and Emely tensed up.

"I feel like we're in trouble, this is school and we've just been called to the principal's office." Emely crossed her ams.

"Starling City vigilante." Emely took in a deep breath

"He calls himself the Arrow now." 

"Does he, Flash?" Emely was confused.

"Wait. What's the problem here? I don't get it." 

"The problem, Emely, is that we don't trust him." Emely looked at the floor.

"You guys don't even know him." 

"I know he was wanted for murder in at least 12 different cases dating back 3 years ago." Emely bit her lip.

"I know there's been at least 2 major terrorist attacks in Starling when he became active." 

"The cops are cool with him now. He doesn't kill people anymore." Emely didn't say anything.

"What about all those criminals he put arrows through? Those, what, don't count?" 

"He's a hero." Barry retorted.

"You're a hero, Barry. You offer protection, hope, light. What that man does is carry out a dark reckoning for his city. It is brutal, violent vision of justice. One we do not share. You truly think he's a hero, fine, so be it, but he's not the kind you should be looking up to." Dr. Wells looked at Emely.

"Are you going to say anything?" Emely glanced at Dr. Wells, then at Joe and then at Barry.

Instead of replying, she just left. She walked out of the Cortex and went outside.
