In A Matter Of Seconds [Under Editing]

Chapter 47

"Small miracle you only broke one leg, Joe." Mardon stood up

"The night I got sucked out of the plane, I broke almost every bone in my body. That was excruciating. At least you got a small taste of what that felt like. Still, I guess you'll never know what it really feels like to be God."

"That's what your brother said to me right before I killed him." Mardon hit Joe across the cheek

"I don't need these powers to end your life."

"Then do it. That's what you came here for, right? An eye for an eye." 

"Oh Joe. I want more than just an eye." Mardon held a phone to his ear waited for the person to pick up. 

"I have your father." Iris tensed up

"He's a little broken, but still alive. If you want him to stay that way, come to the waterfront, south side. Oh, and Iris, if you tell the police, your father's dead." Mardon chucked the phone into the water

"She's on her way." Joe couldn't reply as he had tape on his mouth.

Iris turned to Barry, eyes full of tears

"He has my dad. If I tell anyone, he'll kill him. He wants to meet at the waterfront."

"Alright, I'm coming with you." 

While Iris and Barry went to meet Mardon, Cisco began to discover the mystery of what really happened to the containment system...and then some. 

"I'm not like the Flash at all." The Reverse-Flash was inside the trap

"Some would say I'm the reverse." Cisco turned to find Dr. Wells. 

Meanwhile, Mardon watched as Iris arrived at the waterfront with Barry.

"Congratulations, Joe. You're my plus one today. Front-row seats to watch everyone and everything you ever loved destroyed. Pretty girl too." Joe watched Iris and Barry walking closer to the shore with the binoculars. 

"Such a shame." Mardon ripped the tape off of Joe's mouth.

"Please. She's my daughter."

"Clyde was my brother."

"He's a thief and a murderer. She's an innocent girl." 

"She'll pay the sins of her father then." Re-taping his mouth, Mardon stood facing the shore

"They'll all pay." 

Back in S.T.A.R Labs, Cisco didn't wanna believe that Dr. Wells was the Reverse-Flash. Wells clapped slowly as he walked toward the long haired man. 

"You're incredibly clever, Cisco. I've always said so." 

"You're him. The Reverse-Flash." Wells move toward him a bit

"You and I have not been properly introduce. I am Eobard Thawne."

"Thawne? Like Eddie?" 

"Let's call him a distant relative."

"The night that we trapped the Reverse-Flash, you almost died. There were two of you." Wells began to run very quickly

"A speed mirage, if you will." 

"Joe and Emely were right. You were there that night 15 years ago. In Barry's house. You killed Nora Allen."

"It was never my intention to kill Nora. I was there to kill Barry."

"Why? You're his friend. You've been teaching him how to-"

"Go faster. I know. A means to an end. And I'll tell you why. Because I have been stuck here, marooned here in this place for 15 long years. And the Flash, and the Flash's speed is the key to my returning to my world. My time. And no one is going to prevent that from happening." Cisco looked at Wells with sadness on his face. 

"I can help you." 

"You're smart, Cisco." Wells held up his hand and started vibrate it.

"But not that smart. Do you know how hard it has been to keep all of this from you, especially you?" Cisco began to let the tears leak from his eyes

"Because the truth is, I've grown quite fond of you. And in many ways, you have shown me what it's like to have a son." 

Without a warning, Wells stuck his vibrating hand through Cisco's chest.

"Forgive me. But to me, you've been dead for centuries." 

Wells took his hand out and watched as Cisco fell to the floor.

Dead

"What do we do?" Iris and Barry had made it to the waterfront

"He'll find us." Iris looked out across the ocean

"Oh my God." 

There was lightning which only meant that Mardon was using his powers 

"You need to get far away from here as possible." Barry told Iris

"I'm not leaving." 

"Please Iris. Emely's in a coma. I can't have you get hurt either. You're my sister." 

Pretty soon, Mardon had created a tsunami that was headed straight for Central City. Barry hastily called Caitlin and she explained what he could do in order to stop it. 

"I am so sorry." He turned to Iris after his talk with Caitlin.

"I didn't want you to find out this way." 

Iris watched as Barry had changed into the Flash. 

"Go." And he took off running. 

Barry started running back and forth as fast as he could against the coast line in hopes of that being able to stop the tsunami. He ran really fast, when suddenly, he was  back on the street at night. He stopped and took a look at his surroundings.

It all seemed like déjà vu to him, as if he already went through that moment in time. 

The dogs barking, the man holding an arrow, and the lady that was running late and needed a taxi. 

Yes, Barry had lived that moment already, and now he was living it again. He shook his head 

"Oh boy." 

The reality of what just happened dawned on him.

He had just gone back in time
