In A Matter Of Seconds [Under Editing]

Chapter 57

"I thought I could be like Oliver. I thought I could use Snart, but he used me."

"You're not supposed to be like Oliver. He's a vigilante. You're a speedster. You both have different ways of doing things. I don't expect you to solve problems like Oliver. You're the Flash, Barry. You're my boyfriend, and I love you. Plus, Oliver's really cold. You're a complete ray of sunshine." Barry smiled slightly. 

"What that a smile?" Barry shook his head. 

Emely placed her hand on Barry's side and began to tickle him, causing him to let out his cute laugh that she loves. 

"There's that smile." Barry smiled at her. 

"You're the best."

"I know." 

"I love you."

"And I love you." Barry swiftly pressed his lips to hers. 

They were interrupted however when there was beeping. 

"Th particle accelerator is fully charged and online."

They watched as Wells, well Thawne, was tempting Barry into chasing him. She grabbed Barry by the cheeks and kissed him, knowing he would eventually go after Thawne. 

"Well, I heard your prison transfer didn't go so well." was the first things Thawne said when Barry arrived. "I'm so sorry." 

"All a part of your plan, I assume." Barry stayed put

"Actually, that didn't factor into my plan at all. But I'm impressed that you went such a great length to keep those people from harm. Ever the hero, huh, Barry?" 

"You've hurt enough people."

"I know. You see me as the villain, but Barry, if you were to look back, look back at everything I've done, every wheel I have set in motion, you would realize I have only done what I had to do. Nothing more, nothing less."

"And the particle accelerator? How does that fit into your grand plan?" Barry didn't move

"Why don't you go on inside? Let me show you."

"You know, I just learned the hard way not to trust the bad guy." 

"And yet, I've shown you time and time again, you can't beat me, Barry." A burst of flame appeared and Caitlin smiled.

"Ronnie." 

"Firestorm."

"Wow, you brought yourself a friend." Thawne said after Firestorm landed.

A hooded figure dropped down beside Barry, which made Emely smile.

"Oliver." 

Thawne smiled "Welcome, Mr. Queen." 

"Hope we're not too late." Oliver told Barry.

"You're just in time." Barry never took his focus off of Thawne. "I don't care how fast you are. You can't fight all three of us at the same time."

"Oh, I can't? Trust me, this? This is gunna be fun." Thawne stuck out his ring as Ronnie burst into flames, Barry's eyes flickered with lightning, and Oliver got an arrow ready. 

Thus, the battle began. 

Barry, Oliver and Firestorm each took turns fighting the Reverse-Flash. Thawne circled his arms around to create a wind that blew Firestorm away. Barry went after him, leaving Oliver to fight Thawne alone.

Barry came back and saved Oliver just as Thawne was about to kill him. 

"That's the spirit. You can't stop me, Flash. And you never will." 

Barry chased Thawne around buildings, before Thawne eventually fell and crashed into a car. Thawne got up, but before he could speed off, Oliver shot him with an arrow, causing his to become weak. 

Barry took Thawne back to S.T.A.R Labs and placed him in the pipeline. When Emely saw Barry, she went over to kiss him.

"You done good, bebz." Barry smiled

Barry grabbed Emely's hand and led her down to the pipeline and faced Thawne. 

And one day, I'll find who killed my mother and get justice for my father. That day is today.

"Why did you kill my mother?" 

"Because I hate you. Not you now. You years later."

"In the future."

"In a future, yes." 

"We're rivals, enemies, opposites. Reverses of one another."

"Why? Why were we enemies?" 

"It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter anymore."

"Yes it does." Thawne glanced at Emely.

"Emely, Emely, Emely. You still have no idea how much I've affected your life, have you?"

"What are you talking about?" Thawne chuckled

"You'll find out one day. It doesn't matter anyway. You'll be dead in the future." He turned back to Barry

"What matters is that neither of us were strong enough to defeat the other. Until I learned your secret. I learned your name. Barry Allen. And finally, I knew how to defeat you once and for all. Travel back in time, kill you as a child," Thawne snapped his fingers, "wipe you from the face of Earth. But you, future you that is, followed me back and we fought. We both landed some pretty solid shots. And then you, future you, got younger you out of there. I was so mad."

"So mad that you had to kill his mother?" 

"I thought, what if you suffered a tragedy? What if you were to suffer something so horrible, so traumatic that your child self could never recover?Then you would not become the Flash. So, yes Emely. I stabbed his mother in the heart. And I was free."

"But your plan was fucked up and he became the Flash."

"Yes, but that was on my doing. I realized that I had lost my way home. Lost my way to harness the Speed Force. And without it, I was stuck here, stranded in this time unable to return to my home and the only one way back was the Flash. But the Flash was gone, so I created him." Barry shook his head.

"Why train me? Why help me save so many people?"

"Because I needed you to get fast. Fast enough to rupture the space-time barrier and create a stable wormhole through which I could return home."

"Why would I ever do that?" 

"Because, Barry Allen,  if you give me what I want, I'm gunna give you what you want." Barry looked at him with confusion.

"You can go back and save your mother. You can prevent your father from going to prison. You can reunite the Allen family." Barry shook his head. 

"No. I don't believe you." Barry banged the glass with is fists.

"I wanna kill you right now." 

"I know that rage. I used to feel that rage every time I looked upon you. And now somehow,  I know what Joe and Henry feel when they look on you with pride. With love." 

"No. No, don't you ever say that to me." 

"I know you're upset, but I'm giving you a chance. I'm giving you a chance to undo all the evil I've done." Barry and Thawn stared at each other through the glass.

"Don't you want that chance?"
