Is It Okay if I Call You Mine? (formerly Complicated)

Blake’s POV

I woke up at the sound of my phone.  I have a text message from Cassie.

Cassandra:  Morning blake… can we spend our weekend at the beach?

Me:  Sure… give me an hour to pack and shower.  I’ll pick you up.

Cassandra:  All right.  See you later.

Me:  I love you.

Cassandra: And I’m in love with you. xoxo

I smiled after I read her last text.  Cassie never said “I love you too”.  She is always saying that she’s in love with me.  I have to ask her why later.  Getting up from bed, I showered and started packing.  I’m excited about this trip.  This is our first out of town together.  I plan on making this extra special for both of us. 

After an hour, I am in front of Cassie’s condo unit.  I saw her waiting at the lobby with her overnight bag.  She looked refreshing with a pink baby tee, white shorts, and pink flip flops. She’s also wearing white sunglasses and has a white tote bag on her shoulder.  I got out of the car to carry her bag and opened the door for her.  Before she got in the car, I held her elbow.

“Hey…”

She turned around, and I gently pressed her against the car.  “Good morning, angel.”  I greeted.  And then I kissed her.  Seems like she’s just waiting for that kiss because she eagerly kissed me back.  I didn’t know how long we’re kissing. I remembered we are outside her condo, and there were many passersby who might be looking at us right now, so I pulled away.  I rested my forehead onto hers.  “If we don’t stop angel, I might take you here in broad daylight.  The last thing I want is to see ourselves on Youtube.”  I whispered before I opened the door for her. She smiled and touched the side of my face. “I can’t wait for you to do that…” she whispered before she got in the car.   My jaw dropped… I didn’t know how I’d react to that...  My body responded differently.  It’s like I felt electrocuted.  Still feeling uneasy, I got in the car and started driving.

“Where’d you wanna go?  Subic or Batangas?”  I asked Cassie.

“Subic.  I want to swim with the dolphins.” Cassie said excitedly.

We arrived at Camayan Beach Resort in Subic at lunchtime.  We just put our bags inside our room and had our buffet lunch at the resort’s restaurant.  Looks like Cassie will enjoy this lunch.  The food served are all her favourites. 

 “Somebody’s happy…”  I teased Cassie.

Cassie stuck out her tongue to me.  “What will I do?  These are all my favorites…  prawns, crabs, grilled pork, and mango salad... Yummy!”

“You’re such a child.”  I laughed. “Come on, let’s eat.  What would you like to drink?”

“Watermelon shake.”

I called the waiter and gave him our orders.  After a few minutes, the waiter came back with a watermelon shake and a soda.

“Blake, your choice of drinks is so boring…”  Cassie remarked.

“I wouldn’t be caught drinking a girly stuff like your pink watermelon shake.”  I retorted.

“Don’t you ask for a taste of my watermelon shake, I won’t give you even a sip.”

“I like my soda better. Thank you very much.”

“Whatever.”  She rolled her eyes and continued to eat.
