Raven's POV:
"Octavia get the hell up we gotta go now!" I yelled in frustration. There was no way I was leaving her here. There was no way I wag going to let her die.
I grabbed her hand and pulled her off the ground. Just then, my brace snapped.
"Shit!" I pulled it off my leg, and threw it into the burning woods. That seemed to get Octavia's attention. She pulled my arm around her shoulder, and we trudged through the flames. Every step wasn't only filled with burning pains, but I forgot how bad it hurts to walk without my brace.
Just as we'd gotten through to a small clearing, we let ourselves fall. And we just laid there. For us, I'm sure it's over.
For just a second it's quiet. Then I hear laughter.
"You're laughing? O we're about to die!"
"I took you on this hike for a reason you know."
"Yeah I know you wanted me to meet your friends," I only hope she doesn't blame herself for bringing me here. And for Lincoln.
"No. I was going to ask you to marry me today. Lincoln was going to run up ahead and set up some candles I borrowed from Lexa. Because god knows she'd never let me keep them," she chuckled. "And then by the time we got there, it would be sunset. It was going to be perfect Raven. After that, we'd probably have to get a place together, and we'd never have to spend so much time apart." She finished.
I couldn't even find words to express my surprise. She wanted to spend the rest of her life with me? She was gonna propose, and we'd finally get to begin the rest of our lives together.
"Octavia-" I begun.
"But now I guess that's never gonna happen. We'll never even have a chance to say goodbye to Clark and Lexa," she said bluntly.
"I would've said yes you know." I really would've. She's the love of my life. She made all the hard times worth it. And she made all the good times the best.
"Yeah. I know."
"And you know what? We do get to spend the rest of our time together. It doesn't matter how long we had, all that matters is that we're together now."
"I love you Raven Reyes." A smile spread across her face. The most beautiful thing in the world.
"I love you too Octavia Blake." I smiled back.
After that, we just laid down together. Not talking, just thinking. We weren't afraid anymore. Just being together made everything else seem so inferior. And looking into her beautiful eyes were the last thing I saw before I closed mine. And they wouldn't open again.
Most people fear death. And maybe I would've, If I hadn't spent my last day with the woman who I loved. My only wish was that we got to say goodbye to our friends. But it doesn't matter. We will see them again soon enough. And soon, we'll get to see Nyla again.
The truth is, it doesn't matter how messed up your life is. We all live, and we all die. And that's it. Just pray that you'll find a way to live your life to the fullest. Octavia made my life complete. Even if we didn't have to much time on this earth, we made whatever time we had the best. I can't wait to see what the next chapter of our story is, because death is not the end, it is only a door that opens to a new world.
Authors note:
The End! I hope you all enjoyed this book as much as I did writing it. I thought it was time to end it before I completely ran out of ideas. But I'll probably start a new book, so no worries. Anyways, please vote and comment, and let me know if you liked the story! Also, comment on what you think I should write about next. I was thinking either another octaven or a clexa. But feel free to make your own suggestions if you want.
