Jin looked up from the counter when he heard the door open.
It was his favorite customer.
"Namjoon! So good to see you! I was so bored. It's such a slow day", he sighed before his eyes fell on the huge bag the younger was carrying, "Oh how many months worth laundry is that?" the older chortled.
Namjoon couldn't help but blush and look down to the ground as he replied, "I think two months... the exams kept me busy"
Jin hummed in response taking Namjoon's bag and walking towards the washers.
'Oh no! He shouldn't see my torn underwear!' the younger panicked.
"Hyung! I'll do it myself!" he yelled, snatching the bag back.
"Woah! What happened Joonie?!" questioned a very stunned Jin and then continued with a smirk, "You know I've already seen your torn underwear."
Hearing this, the younger turned into fifty different shades of red. Oh, how much he wished he could bury himself under the ground. He had been careless in the past, not thinking about the costs of letting Jin do his laundry.
"Um, hyung...?"
"What's up Joonie?" the older asked while setting up the washer.
"I was thinking if we could get something to eat while the clothes are in the machine."
"Yeah, you are right, I'm hungry too. I'll close the shop for lunch."
The older walked towards the door and the younger hummed in response. This wasn't just a lunch for Namjoon. He wanted to comprehend what was going on in his head. Could he figure out his feeling in just an hour?
Maybe not. But no harm trying.
"I have some instant ramen behind the counter, we can have that or order in pizza. What do you say?"
"Anything is fine hyung"
"It'll take time for pizza and I can't wait! Ramen it is!" Jin giggled excitedly. Namjoon couldn't help but smile at the older's childish behaviour.
"What's the matter Namjoon? Exam didn't go well? You look a bit low" Jin probed.
"It's nothing... I just feel a bit... lost." Namjoon sighed looking down at his feet.
"Do you want to share any thoughts with me?"
'I can't share these thoughts specifically with you', thought Namjoon, before looking up at the other and shaking his head.
Jin was the most handsome man Namjoon had ever met. He was so hardworking and dedicated. The way he loved his little shop and how he cared about all his friends, Namjoon was glad he knew someone so beautiful.
At that very moment, Namjoon realized he wanted things to remain just they way they are.
Anything other than a friendship, would ruin his relation with him.
And Namjoon was not ready to take that risk.
