I'm at a point in my life, where I'm supposed to focus on my career as well as do well in studies. Amongst all this chaos, this book helped me find something to focus on and hold on to.
It was an amateurish attempt and I'm sure when I look back, I'll find many errors. But right now, I'm gonna focus on improving my writing.
I was rather dubious about the whole idea of writing this book, but I'm glad I decided to go for it. This was my first attempt and I hope I can write more, not just fanfics.
I have a few more ideas for fics and I intent on putting them in words soon.
I had an absolutely great time working on this book and I hope you all enjoyed reading it. I still can't believe the amount of support I got from you all lovely readers, thank you all once again!
Here goes the final chapter...!
*7 years later*
"Let's watch the Olympics!"
"No! I need to catch up on the news! So news channel please!"
"Ah you can check out the news online! The 2025 Music Awards is airing live right now! Let's watch that!"
"Nooo!!"
"All of you, SHUT UP!"
-silence-
"My house, my rules. We will have dinner first then decide what to watch." Jin instructed.
All the boys had gathered in Namjoon and Jin's house at the end of a long and tiring week.
One could say, that although everything had changed in their lives, they were still the same.
A few weeks after the accident, Jin closed his laundry shop and used his savings to open a small teashop. He gradually expanded his teashop, over the years, and soon had four branches in different parts of the city. Namjoon, completed his course in business and finance and helped Jin expand his business. After graduating, Namjoon's talent in the finance field was recognized immediately and he acquired his desired job. He was now a prominent financial analyst and had also successfully published five more novels, mainly revolving around his life with Jin but with their names being kept anonymous. The two got married five years after the accident and were now making plans to adopt a child.
Yoongi and Jimin had seen the greatest degree of change in their lives compared to the rest. They had gained tremendous success in the music industry and little by little, turned into household names. Yoongi had triumphantly released three albums, each topping charts across the country. His boyfriend, Jimin, also pursued a career as a singer and the two often collabed. Although the start of their careers had been utterly rocky, their diligent attitude, hard-work and encouragement from their friends helped them excel.
Hoseok and Lisa were still together, and were planning to get married the following year. The two, along with Taehyung and Jungkook travelled around the globe hosting and presenting extravagant musicals, which were immensely appreciated by critics. Their troop had started out with just the four of them and a few of Hoseok's dance students. One lucky day, celebrated musical director Mr Bang Si Hyuk, came across one of their shows and instantly fell in love with the team. He offered them his guidance and showed them the right path to success.
As for Taehyung and Jungkook...
*7 years ago- the night of Jin's accident*
"Kim Taehyung, will you be my boyfriend?" Jungkook asked getting down on one knee.
Taehyung's first reaction was to tackle Jungkook into a hug, both losing their balance and falling on the wet, muddy ground. Any passerby would assume that two teenagers were engaged in a fight, but in reality the two were laughing with delight and thrill.
"Yes, I will, Jeon Jungkook" Taehyung answered hugging the other as tightly as he could.
Jungkook was the first to get on his feet. He helped Taehyung stand but the latter refused to. Jungkook was left with no option but to lift the boy up in his arms bridal style. He walked back inside the building, the two affectionately glancing at each other every now and then.
"What on earth happened to the two of you?!" Jimin questioned with concern, jumping to his feet as soon as he noticed them, drenched and covered in mud.
"Well, I guess I finally realized that you cannot hate the rain... because whenever it rains, something beautiful always happens out there." Jungkook replied with an affectionate smile, letting Taehyung stand and wrapping his hands around his waist.
*back to present*
After dinner, Namjoon and Jin sat cuddled together on one single couch, Hoseok was lying down on the floor on a call with Lisa, Jimin was trying to convince Yoongi to take the next day off from work so they could go on a date to the amusement park, but Yoongi constantly reminded him about how they had to practice for his upcoming concerts.
Taehyung and Jungkook stood in the balcony, their arms around each other's waist. The skyline in front of them was a spectacular view. Winter was almost here, the air was chilly and the sky was cloudy. Jungkook took off his scarf and wrapped it around Taehyung noticing him shiver, but the other took it off and pulled Jungkook closer, wrapping it around both of them instead.
Jungkook had joined a drama course in Jimin's college a few years ago. He realized this way, he could enjoy his love for acting and also get to stay closer to Taehyung. It had been one of the most fitting decisions he had ever made as he couldn't picture how his life would have turned out if he had chosen some other path.
Everything was gently falling into place for all of them. They were all content with the way things had turned out. They had supported each other through the ups and downs in their lives and had promised to do so for as long as they could.
"Guys!" Jin shouted, "Quick, come here! They are announcing the award for 'Best Rapper of the Year'!" the oldest squealed and clapped his hands with anticipation. Yoongi had won this award two years in a row, but unfortunately, he couldn't make it to the ceremony this year because of his tour schedule.
"And the award for the 'Best Rapper of the Year' goes to... Min Yoongi, also known as, Agust D for his album HopeWorld!" the audience erupted into a thunderous applause, his fans repeatedly chanting his name. One of his colleagues received the award on his behalf and apologized for him not being able to make it.
All the boys were hopping around euphorically with delight. Yoongi had engulfed Jimin into a bone-crushing hug and soon the rest were hugging him too.
"I wouldn't have made it this far without you guys!" Yoongi spoke, tearing up. Everyone was overjoyed, they all reminded him that it was his hard-work paying off and that he earned it all.
"I knew you were going to win it again! I made some special cake to celebrate!" Jin exclaimed, walking towards the kitchen. The rest cheering louder at the mention of cake.
A slight movement outside the window caught Jungkook's attention.
He stepped closer to the window and peeped outside, a smile forming on his face, realizing how comfortable and fortunate he was with everything around him. Everything had turned out to be for the best, everything had turned out to be the way he wanted it to be, everything had turned out to be happy. And this was just the beginning.
"Oh wow, it's raining again!" sighed the brown haired boy pressing his forehead against the window.
