When the Rains Changed

All the boys reached the hospital in less than fifteen minutes. Namjoon had informed Jisoo and she was on her way immediately.

Namjoon had to remain calm. He wasn't ready to think anything negative. Jin was one of the strongest men he had ever come across. He kept reminding himself that Jin would fight to survive.

As soon as they reached, Namjoon darted into the ER followed by Yoongi and Hoseok. The rest remained in the waiting room.

"We're here for Mr Seokjin" he spoke to one of the nurses.

"Sir, we had to shift him to the ICU, he will be going through two surgeries in sometime, we need you to fill a few forms" she informed him.

Namjoon followed her to one of the desks. "Are you a family member?" she asked.

"No... a close friend" he was struggling to form complete sentences as he tried to make sense of what was written on the form. Soon after, Jisoo came running, bawling and frantically screaming Jin's name. Jennie was struggling to hold her in her arms, trying to calm her. Hoseok immediately went up to her and informed about Jin's condition.

Namjoon had to focus on filling the right details. He had to complete things one step at a time. He realized he would break down completely if he tried doing too much at once.

He walked up to Jisoo and hugged her tight. The pain he felt was nothing compared to what she was feeling. Jisoo stopped crying as she felt slightly better realizing all of them were there to support her.

Yoongi took the forms from Namjoon and with Hoseok's help, started filling it.

In the waiting room, Jimin was crying hysterically, his hands tightly wrapped around his knees. Jungkook and Taehyung sat across him, their faces and minds blank. They felt miserable. They felt desperate. Their beloved Jin hyung was in such a condition and they couldn't help him in anyway. All they could do, was sit and wait.

After a while, the others joined them in the waiting room.

Namjoon paced around nonstop. Walking around kept him distracted from all the terrible thoughts in his head. He was finding it difficult to breathe when he stopped moving.

The rest were seated, all anxious and restless as they had not yet been informed about what exactly happened.

It had been more than an hour. Jin had been moved to the OT for his first surgery.

As Namjoon walked around, pleasant memories with Jin surfaced in his mind. Small details about him, how he smiled, laughed at silly jokes, teased the others by saying how they were all ugly when compared to him. All these happy memories seemed to become painful the more he thought about them.

"AAAGHHH" he grunted in frustration as his legs finally gave away and he fell on his knees. Tears were falling from his eyes and he didn't have the willpower left to stop them. Jungkook and Hoseok lifted him up and made him sit on a chair. Yoongi handed him a glass of water but he couldn't get himself to drink it. He wanted to see Jin.

He wanted to see Jin healthy and happy, cracking those silly, annoying dad jokes, which didn't seem to be annoying anymore. He wanted to hold his hand and go on dates. He wanted to propose to Jin and marry him and live with him for the rest of his life.

But all he wanted right now, was to see Jin.
