3rd person pov

Jon rolled over in bed, coming face to face with Damian. He poked his lover's cheek. Damian grumbled softly, eyes still closed.

"Damian." Jon whispered. "Damian!" He whisper shouted. Damian opened his eyes.

"Are you asleep?" Jon asked. Damian glared.

"Dumbass." He muttered. Jon rolled his eyes.

"Do you wanna go outside?" He questioned. Damian furrowed his brow.

"Why on earth would we do that? It's almost midnight and it's freezing out there." He quipped.

"C'mon please Dami? Please, please, please!" He begged, putting on a pouty face. Damian clicked his tongue but sat up.

"Uhg. Fine whiny-pants."

Jon smiled in victory. "Yay!" He picked up Damian bridal style, carrying him to the balcony.

"Don't you think we should change?" Damian asked. Jon carefully floated the two down to the soft grass. He set Damian down and reached into his pocket.

He pulled out a small remote and clicked a button. Damian was then suddenly surrounded by twinkling fairy lights and the song City of Stars began softly playing.

He covered his mouth which broke out into a wide smile.

"Oh Jon, this is so sweet." He said with a small laugh. Jon smiled back.

"Of course my love, just for you." Jon said, extending his hand to Damian. "May I have this dance?" He asked. Damian smirked and lowered his hands from his mouth.

"You may." He said as he set his hand in Jon's. Jon pulled the smaller close, placing his hand on his waist and extending the other which was clasped with Damian's. Damian placed his free hand on Jon's shoulder.

The two began dancing and swaying to the song in the background, surrounded by the twinkling fairy lights.

"City of stars, are you shining just for me?" Jon started singing softly. Damian smiled, resting his forehead against Jon's.

"City of stars, there's so much that I can't see..."

"Who knows... I felt it from the first embrace, I shared with you..."

Damian took a deep breath in before beginning to sing along.

"That now our dreams, they've finally come true..." He sung softly. Jon smiled, pressing a kiss to Damian's forehead.

"City of stars, just the one thing everybody wants..."

"There in the bars... And through the smokescreen of the crowded restaurants..."

"It's love... yes, all we're looking for is love, from someone else..."

"A rush,"

"A glance,"

"A touch,"

"A dance,"

"A look in somebody's eyes, to light up the skies, to open the world and send it reeling,"

"A voice that says I'll be here, and you'll be alright..."

Jon carefully moved his other extended hand to Damian's waist as he slowly started rising off the ground, taking the two up in a floaty dance all the while still swaying to the soft melody.

Damian giggled as they kept singing.

"I don't care if I know, just where I will go, 'cause all I need's this crazy feeling,"

"A rat-tat-tat on my heart..."

Jon slowly descended to the ground as the beat of the song slowed, slowly spinning him and his boyfriend.

"Think I want it to stay..."

"City of stars, are you shining just for me...?"

"City of stars..."

The two softly landed on the ground, Damian cupping Jon's face and pulling him close as he sung the final line.

"Never shined, so, brightly..." With that, Jon lightly dipped his lover and kissed him sweetly and passionately on the lips just as the clock struck twelve, signalling the new year.
