3rd person pov

"Damian!" Dad called.

"Coming dad!" I replied. I rushed down the stairs into the Batcave, trying to fix my rumpled Robin suit shirt, nearly tripping on my own feet.

"Didn't Alfred just iron that?" Dad asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Yeah but I didn't put it away properly." I mumbled. Dad sighed. Before he could lecture me about being messy, two people entered the cave.

"You got lucky Mister." Bruce hissed. I smirked, even though I know I'll get the lecture later, but as for right now, I'm meeting a new friend!

"Clark, Jon, how nice to see you two again." Dad said reaching forward to shake Clark's hand.

"Bruce good to see you too." He glanced back at me. "And you Damian."

I waved with a smile.

"Jon introduce yourself." Clark said, pushing a boy forward. The boy was taller than me with porcelain looking skin and dark raven hair. He wore a neatly made suit with the S symbol on the front.

He looked down at me with sapphire eyes, arms crossed. I smiled.

"It's really nice to meet you! I'm Damian!" I said happily, extending my hand. The boy glanced at it. Clark nudged his arm.

"-tt-." He scoffed. He uncrossed an arm and carefully shook my hand.

"I'm Jonathan, but just call me Jon." He said almost boredly. I smiled. He retracted his hand.

"Damian, you and Jon are going to go on a mock patrol so Clark and I can see how well you work together." Dad said. I smiled.

"Okie dokie!" I said. Jon rolled his eyes.

"Be nice Jon." Clark warned. Jon huffed.

"Let's get going then!"

Jon and I stood silently at the top of a tall building, looking out for trouble. I folded my hands behind me and kicked at the ground.

"So uh Jonny-!"

"Superboy. We're on patrol, you are to address me as Superboy imbecile. And don't call me Jonny." Jon snapped, cutting me off. I blushed in embarrassment.

"Oh, right right, sorry. Um, so Superboy, do you have any pets?" I asked.

"I have a dog." Jon answered. My face lit up.

"I love dogs! What's it's name?" I asked eagerly.

"His name is Krypto." Jon replied without looking back at me.

"Aw! That's a cute name! When did you get him?" I questioned, moving to stand beside Jon rather than behind him.

"My dad got him awhile ago." Jon said.
