Damian's pov

I felt myself drifting off, thinking about Jon. Jon and I have been dating for a month now and only his family knows. Not mine.

I'm not out yet. I plan on telling them soon. Or maybe today since everyone is at the table at moment which almost never happens.

"-demon? Hello are you listening?" Todd said. I blinked.

"Oh. My apologies. My mind wandered. Did someone as me something?" I asked, a small embarrassed blush dusting my cheeks.

"Yeah demon brat! Dick asked if you like anyone." Drake said. I felt my heart beat pick up. I glanced at Father who also appeared to be spaced out. He's been rather stressed lately and won't say why.

"W-well I am fond of someone," I said, looking down and playing with the sleeves of my black turtleneck, my blush darkening.

"Wait seriously?! Who is it?" Todd pestered.

"I'm also dating them currently..." I added. This is your chance. Tell them now Damian.

"Oh my god! When do we get to meet her?!" Grayson squealed. I chuckled nervously, eyes darting around the room.

"See Grayson, that's the thing uh, I'm..." I sucked in a deep breath. "I'm dating a boy. I'm dating Jon." I looked up bravely. "I'm g-gay."

Everyone was silent. I felt a wave of fear.

I glanced at Father.

"You're what?" He asked, eyes boring into mine. I shrunk back in my seat.

"Gay... with Jon..." I whispered.

Father stood up suddenly, face flushed with anger.

"You think that you can just say it so casually Damian!?" He shouted. I looked up at him in confusion and fear.

"You know how stressed I am right now! This is ridiculous! I do NOT. Need to hear this right now!" He roared, slamming his fist on the table. I flinched.

"F-Father I-!"

"No Damian! I don't want to hear it!" He snapped angrily before leaving the room. My eyes began pooling with tears.

"There goes a nice family dinner..." Grayson murmured before standing up and leaving.

"Grayson-!"

"Nice job demon! God, why do you have to mess up everything?!" Todd shouted. I looked up at him in pure fear.

"Jason's right! You ruin everything you brat!" Drake joined in. My mouth felt dry, I couldn't speak.

A silent tear slipped down my cheek.

"Oh great now he's crying!" Todd groaned.
