The Element - Loki / Avengers x Reader

Morning came and Y/N was already dreading the day ahead. She still ached from yesterday's combat session with Nat , and was certainly not in the mood to deal with him today.

She dragged herself out of bed, showered and put on her usual working out clothes. She grabbed her phone and headed out of the door.

Loki was leaving his room at the same time. They both paused and for a moment and just looked at each other awkwardly before stepping towards the elevator.
"Ready to finish our little fight today pet?" Loki was smiling.
"Can't wait" she rolled her eyes. Loki pushed the stop button on the elevator and turned to Y/N. He had her cornered up against the wall.
"Mortal you really need to learn to watch your mouth" his voice was threatening.
"You really need to learn to stop speaking to me like you're more important than me" Y/N snapped back. She wasn't in the mood for the debate.
"Oh but I am. I am a god. A powerful one. You have no idea who you are messing with"
"Loki I really don't care who you are. You are here to train me. You are a teacher. You will teach, I will listen and that is it. Nothing else. You are not in charge of me you are not my boss, you are my equal" Y/N could feel his rage.
He huffed and turned away from her, pushing the start button on the elevator again
"We will see"

The doors opened and the two walked into the corridors leading onto the large training rooms.

There were 6 training rooms in the tower. All different sizes to suit the individuals needs, or in their case , the hulk. They all had different equipment in each room too. Some were set up like a boxing ring, but most were blank to suit the needs of the training.

Y/N and Loki stepped into training room 3 where Bruce and Natasha were waiting for them. The room had several obstacles in place , mostly wooden jump boxes, a few scrap cars and some random pieces of furniture.
"Morning Y/N, Loki" Nat nodded as they walked in.
"Hey guys, so what's on the agenda" Y/N asked , walking away from Loki.
"We're going to start off with some basics , Loki we want you to help Y/N with passing her elements between yourself and her"
"So extreme catch? Instead of a ball you throw a ball of fire ?" Nat smiled.
"Yes , exactly like that" Bruce gestured for Y/N and Loki to head over to the rubber mats to start.
Y/N followed Loki onto the floor.
She suddenly felt a small but sharp pain in her forehead
Don't worry darling I'll go easy on you to start with
Y/N glared at Loki with wide eyes. She knew that he had just read her mind and managed to speak to her without moving his lips. She knew at this point he was more powerful than he was letting on.
"Okay Loki, lead the way" Bruce and Nat stepped outside the room into the viewing area. This was a glass room which was where observers could still watch but be safe and away from the training area.

Loki stepped forward holding his hand in front of him with his palm facing upwards. A small ball of fire appeared.
"You know I could just throw this at you and end you here" he taunted.
"Loki just pass me the flame" Y/N was trying to act like she wasn't afraid but deep down she knew what he was capable of.
She held out her hand to face Loki ready to catch it.
Loki gently threw the flame to her which she caught perfectly.
She smiled and then made it disappear.
"I did it" she smiled at Nat and Bruce who were watching.
"That's great now try water" Bruce said.

Loki switched hands and made a tennis ball sized mound of water appear in his hand. He again slowly threw it to Y/N which again, she caught.

"Let's make this a little more fun" Loki said menacingly.
He quickly threw a larger ball of fire at Y/N without warning. She reacted quickly and extinguished the flame with water.
"Loki we are doing this slowly, don't get carried away" Loki turned to Bruce and smiled. Suddenly he had locked them both inside the observer room.
"Loki open the door!" Bruce shouted
"If you don't open this door Loki I swear I will kick your ass" Nat threatened.

"Oh but this is way more fun. And besides, Y/N needs to learn" he turned back to her and grinned whilst producing two daggers.
"Loki I haven't completed any weapons training yet. Just stick to fire and water" she said whilst backing away.
"No dear, we are doing this my way. Like I said, I want to see what you are capable of and to finish our fight" with that he lunged towards Y/N.
Bruce and Natasha were desperately trying to find a way out of the box. They knew that Loki was in a dangerous frame of mind and that Y/N was in trouble.
"Tony, Steve, Clint, Thor , anyone we need you down to training room 3 now. Loki has locked himself and Y/N alone and is fighting her" Nat said.
Bruce was starting to turn green.
"Nat, we need to get out of here now" the panic in Bruce's eyes were now not only for Y/N but for himself and Nat. The Hulk wants out.

Loki and Y/N were now punching and throwing items at each other. Y/N trying to use all of the skills they Nat had taught her so far to defend herself.
"My my haven't we gotten stronger" Loki chanted as he pinned Y/N to the floor.
"Loki enough , look at Bruce he's turning green" the panic was getting the her now. She knew they were all in Danger if Bruce let go.

"Oh but that would make this even more fun" Loki grabbed Y/N by the neck, throwing her across the room. She bounced off of one of the wooden jump boxes and slammed into the ground. Winded and bruised , she stood up and could see Loki charging towards her again. She quickly stood, grabbing one of the fabric chairs lying on the ground and quickly set it on fire. She threw it at Loki causing him to fly backwards into a pile of furniture.
Steve, Tony , Thor and Clint arrived at the door and tried to find a way in. But it was useless.

They were trapped outside , Y/N and Loki were trapped inside , and Nat and Bruce were trapped in the viewing box.

The Hulk was coming.
