*Y/N POV*
I knew I wasn't awake but I could still feel the mighty pain seething in my head and limbs.
I kept thinking to myself that I must speak to Tony about getting a softer mattress for my bed, because this one was hard and lumpy and just not comfortable in the slightest. Shivering from my head to my toes, I curled up tighter wishing my blanket hadn't fallen on the floor. My hand reached out to find it but all I felt was coldness beneath my fingers.
That's strange.
Focussing a little bit more, my whole body was cold. My neck was stiff from where I'd possibly slept a little wonky in the night. Where's my pillows?
That was strange too.
My eyelids felt heavy but I began opening them. My vision was blurry, I reached my hand up to my face to rub my eyes and winced at the pain.
Ouch.
A few seconds ticked by. My eyes opened a little bit more and I felt the pain in my head again. I tried to sit up but it was like someone had kicked me in the stomach repeatedly. My ribs hurt. Breathing hurt. I was practically gasping for air.
Then I remembered. This isn't my bedroom.
I was kidnapped by Hydra.
Loki... where's Loki? He was with me. My memories came flooding back. I remember Loki behind me telling me to shush. I remember him holding onto me. I remember there being vans full of Hydra men. I remember explosions and gas. I remember a sting in my neck.
Still laying on the floor I tried to look around my surroundings. I knew I wasn't at the base anymore. Instead all I could see from where I was laying was the cold, grey concrete floor and white walls with a prison-like door in front. I groaned from the dull aches and pains.
The door flew open and I could see someone's feet approaching me. Brown leather shoes with thin laces entwined in them stopped in front of me.
"Have a nice sleep did we?" A low voice with a thick European accent echoed through the room. He crouched down and tilted my chin upwards to meet his gaze.
Helmut Zemo was crouched in front of me.Wake up Y/N... come on. It's just another nightmare. Please be a nightmare.
"I told you we'd meet again. Your friends caused quite a stir at our base you know. We were lucky to have such a nice easy capture for yourself and your friend." He let go of my chin and stood back up.
Walking back to the door he stopped and turned back to me "Oh and don't worry about those friends of yours finding you anytime soon. Your male friend has told us all about the trackers in your suits and their technology they'll use to find you. His compliance is much appreciated" the door closed behind him.I put my hands out in front of me to try and lift myself off of the cold floor. I managed to prop myself up successfully against the wall behind me. Even doing this made me out of breath.
I sighed and winced at the stinging sensation coming from my ribs. I'd figured I'd just re-broken the ones that had only recently healed but this time it felt like there might be more.
Lifting my head I tried to scan the room for anything familiar or that might give me an idea as to where I was. There was an empty chair in the corner , the door ... and me. That was it , nothing else. No windows. No bed. Nothing. It was a prison cell. Worse for that matter. At least a Prison cell had a bed.
I was still wearing my suit that Tony had given me before the mission. Shit. Tony. The team. Were they okay? I began to wonder if Loki was okay too but from what Helmut said, he was still alive, which was something. I needed him.
