Echo sits alone in his quarters, inside the Winter Legion's Glittertind stronghold. He had been there for awhile, his mind filled with the voice of Tla'auc, but why?
Tla'auc got away, after he allowed his own army to fall. It pained Echo, for such an important target to escape. He swore he could've done something, but taking down Frederick was most important at the time.
Other than Echo, the Winter Legion had once again become bored, in a way. There were no threats, nothing to fight. The stronghold was now just reduced to soldiers training everyday, with nothing to look forward to.
Recon would be gone most of the time, trying to find an excuse to scout out anything, just to do something.
Acreo didn't do much either, unsurprisingly. He usually spent his time sitting on the large set of stairs at the stronghold's entrance.
Echo has had enough. He stands up. His thoughts of Tla'auc had bother him for too long. He puts on his helmet, and grabs his rifle. He walks down the stairs past Acreo, who stops him.
"Where're you going?" He asks.
"To look for something....I'll be back." Echo walks out of the stronghold and into the snow. He didn't need an army. Tla'auc was only one Cabal, what's the worst that could happen?
Echo would fly towards near the Last City, where Tla'auc's initial command ship fell. No one had really cleaned it up, even though it had been months since the large fight with the Depraved Legion. The only people that even got close were scavengers.
He begins crawling throughout the ship's wreckage, making his way to the bridge, hoping to find anything there.
Eventually, Echo had to take a break, as it had been almost 43 hours of straight scavenging and searching.
He jumps out of the ship and sits down, leaning against the warped metal of the wreck, feeling the wind on his face. He closes his eyes to relax, but hears footsteps approaching from his left, behind the wreckage.
Echo jumps up, shaping a large dagger out of Stasis. He watches the cloaked figure walk around the wreck, then it stopped when it noticed Echo.
"Show your face!" Echo demands.
The cloaked man chuckles, walking out of the shadows. It was Drifter...??
"I should've known." Echo sighs, sitting back down.
"Not happy to see me?" Drifter puts on a fake smile.
"Not entirely. I'm a little busy."
"Didn't look busy."
"Well I am, alright?"
Drifter makes a face.
"What're you looking for?"
"Something that leads me to Tla'auc. You know him? Probably not sense you live in a rat hole."
"What's with the attitude brother? I didn't do nothing to you."
"Sorry."
Silence ensues for a moment.
"You going after Tla'auc on your own?"
"Yes."
"Why?"
"It's my problem to fix. He got away because I wasn't in the fight as much as I should've been."
"Well I won't stop ya." Drifter begins to leave. Echo is actually surprised.
"I had a feeling you would." Echo stands up.
"Don't forget how stubborn you really are."
Echo looks down in full belief.
"If it helps ya, I heard some things about an isolated Cabal up in Munich."
"Thanks."
"Good luck, alright brother?" Drifter let's out his hand to shake Echo's. Echo shakes back.
