Delilah stands over Gate, who was still unconscious. She looks at his face, his gun. Why did she put herself in this place? She walks across the dark bridge overlooking the Pyramid's structures and sits down on the edge, thinking. She sat for a few minutes before she heard Gate standing up.
"Too afraid to get me up?" He asks her with a growl.
"Maybe it wasn't a good idea."
Gate wanted to shoot her right then and there, but he decided to just sit next to her.
"How do we get out of here?"
"Why are you asking me?"
"You're the one who's been here for god knows how long."
"I have no where else to go."
"That's a straight up lie. Why come here Delilah?"
They both jump as the Pyramid begins to shift, a door opening on the other side of the bridge.
"Should we follow it?"
"I don't think we have anywhere else to go."
They both stand up, walking though the door. It led them to a large chamber, with a sarcophagus in the back, and a large device infront of it. Gate watched Delilah as her heart almost visibly sank.
"You know this place."
"It's where it happened, all of it."
She remembers the day, when her and Frederick ventured into the Pyramid. She remembers the voice giving her three wishes. She chose:
"For the Celestial Demons to be free."
"For Aaron to come back."
"For a Black Box.."
When she wished for the freedom of the Celestial Demons, the Pyramid forced her onto a large device, with a large trigger on it.
She had no choice, she pulled the trigger, sending pure Darkness into the Celestial's homerealm, causing the Dulling, killing them all. It was her fault, all of it.
Delilah tells Gate of this.
"It wasn't your fault?" Gate asks.
"No! It never was!"
They both sit on the stairs of the chamber.
"You did it for Aaron?"
"I wanted to save him. I thought it would be...him, you know?"
"Yeah..."
"Instead it was a zombie, Grey Knight."
"Why did you want to bring back Aaron?"
Delilah didn't answer, instead she looked into Gate's soul. He got his answer, but it didn't bother him anymore.
"I have to take you, Delilah." Gate pulls handcuffs out from his bag.
Delilah, in anger, pushes Gate far back with the force of her Void.
"You can't!"
Gate stands up, but Delilah forces him down again.
"I can't go back! Do you have any idea what Frederick will do to me?!"
Gate looks into her eyes.
"Frederick's dead. Been like that a long time."
"What?"
"We killed him, after you left us!"
Delilah lets go of Gate and sits down on the ground like a child.
"What have you become Delilah?"
"I'm nothing now."
Gate didn't want to waste anymore time, and brings out the cuffs to put on Delilah.
"Just let me take you home."
Delilah looks deeply at the cuffs. She really should accept her fate.
The Pyramid shakes violently, as if it were flying away. Delilah runs, but Gate is quick to grab her.
"Stay with me." He demands, he throws the cuffs around her wrists.
"Why?"
"Where do we go?!"
Delilah doesn't know. She ignores him.
The Pyramid begins to shift into a tall structure. Gate looks to his left, seeing an opening in the architecture, the sky bright and dark at the same time, in a way.
"Cmon!" He yells, running towards the minor opening in the wall, holding Delilah's hand tightly behind him. She misses when he did that.
Gate leaps across a small gap and out of the opening, landing in water. He looks up to see Delilah, hesitating to jump.
"What the hell are you doing?! Jump!"
Delilah doesn't budge, conflicted.
"Please!" Gate pleads with her.
The opening closes on Delilah, and she is lost. Gate swims away as the Pyramid is now a Dark Tower, standing over the waves...
