D2: My Way (Character Scenarios)

The Pyramid was smaller than some of the others, which made sense. However, it was still huge enough that it stood in the middle of Ligurian Sea and still stuck out.

Brutus, Dolos, and Gate stand on a small sailboat they found on the coast, sailing towards the Pyramid.

"Why couldn't we just fly? This is taking so long." Gate complains.

"Where would ya land, hmm?" Brutus replies with a sarcastic tone.

Gate says nothing. Dolos smirks under his helmet.

The Pyramid was quite simple to enter. It's right side had a large tunnel going into it, so Dolos, who was sailing the boat, could easily guide it into the ship.

"This is actually quite relaxing..?" Brutus comments. However, as soon as they entered the tunnel, the boat was quite literally turned to dust, being inside the ship, letting the three Guardians fall into the waters. This heavily frustrated them, but they only had to swim a little amount to a nearby "dock".

Well, Dolos did not actually know how to swim, and instead was able to glide along the water using his Light abilities.

"Show off." Gate says as he and Brutus climb up. Dolos doesn't say anything as they all enter the chambers and mazes.

The Pyramid was quiet, more quiet than the others. It gave them plenty of room to think. Maybe that was intentional.

They begin to hear a voice in the distance. Delilah's.

Gate immediately has his curiosity peaked. Dolos grabs him.

"It probably isn't her."

"It's at least worth checking out."

Dolos thinks, but then let's him go. Gate begins to run in the direction of the voice.

"Who's the voice?" Brutus asks Dolos.

"Delilah. She was once Gate's love."

"What happened that she isn't anymore?"

"It's a long story, I will tell you another time."

They begin to follow the sounds of Gate's footsteps.

Gate runs through the various hallways, following Delilah's voice. As he got closer, he would fight himself on what he would do when he saw her. He knows he must remain strong, but he still feels the need to have her with him. He continues, ending up in the massive main chamber of the Pyramid, where he saw her.

She was pleading with the broken statue in the Pyramid. For what, he didn't know. He walked up behind her.

"Delilah." He spoke, but he didn't get her attention.

He says it a few more times, but Delilah still sat there on her knees, looking up at the the statue. Gate begins to get frustrated, his old self trying to get him to grab and throw her away from the statue, that would get her attention.

A shame Gate chose this path. He grabs her, throwing her back.

"Wake up!" He yells.

Dolos and Brutus walk into the chamber just as he did this. Gate glares at them.

Delilah stands up. She looks at Gate, her eyes filled with fear.

"No..no Gate please! I didn't mean to!"

Gate doesn't want to hear it, backhanding her, and unholstering Ace of Spades.

"You won't control me!" He yells again. The Pyramid begins to shake, this was not according to plan.

Dolos and Brutus begin to run towards Gate and Delilah, but the Pyramid would not allow it, collapsing the chamber and teleporting Dolos and Brutus back to the beach. Both of them watched as the Pyramid sunk back into the waters.

"What the hell? Where did they go?!"

Dolos doesn't reply, he just sits down on the rocks.

"You're not going to say anything?? What if they're dead?!"

"They aren't."

"Then what're you doing then mate?"

"Thinking of what to do next."

Brutus calms down and sits down next to him. They look out at the sea, both of them thinking.

After a few moments, Dolos looks at her. Brutus looks back.

"Why are you here? Really."

Brutus takes a moment to think of what to say.

"I can looking for you."

"Why me?"

"There's something about you. I feel like I had to find you. Ha, funny thing was I didn't even know who you were until yesterday."

Dolos looks at her. She looks back.

"Okay.." Dolos replies. He stands up, walking down to the water to think by himself.

Brutus sits on the rocks, still unsure what connection she had to him.
