Jaden always paired with Lee Jorden, which surprised people. They actually got along quite well. Fred and George paired together as did Alicia and Angelina. Fred and George were across from Sapphire and Alex.
"Do you start Quidditch again soon?" Alex whispered as they began to make the potion.
"Yeah, you?" Sapphire replied.
"Next week," Alex nodded.
Alex hadn't joined Quidditch until a year after Sapphire did, thinking that he'd been too terrified to deal with the Slytherin team. Sapphire soon made him realise just how agile he was on a broom and Alex made Keeper without much difficulty. It would make a lot of people laugh because Sapphire was a chaser.
They loved to argue about who was good or bad after matches. Was Alex a. bad keeper because Sapphire scored or was Sapphire just too good of a chaser, and vice versa? Other people began to realise it was a game of working each other out instead.
Lee soon learnt that he was going to have to work out how to refer to the twins during matches, settling on just using their full names.
Alex was good at his role — a force to be reckoned with when the opposing team weren't fully focuseded — but he always admitted the Gryffindor chasers gave him a run for his money and slightly burnt his ego from time to time.
They also had good brooms, with Alex now having a Nimbus 2001 but they had both brought the latest broom when they first started. After all, they would be lying if they said they weren't made of money. They had half of the Potter fortune and half of the Black's. With no other heirs from their father's side, they got everything.
"Finished," Sapphire yawned as she looked at her potion.
"How?" George whined. "I give up."
"You did the steps in the wrong order," Alex grinned. "I was gonna say something but Sapphire was talking to me."
George narrowed his eyes at the Slytherin with a huff, Fred laughing beside him.
"I don't understand how I can do the practical so well and still suck at the written things," Sapphire complained as they left the room.
"Because you're stupid," Cassius Warrington commented as he walked past the Gryffindor.
Cassius Warrington and Sapphire Black had an odd dynamic. They didn't really like each other per say but they had an unspoken agreement that they could annoy each other without being vicious about it. Alex was reasonable friends with him so she assumed it was due to this.
Not all the Slytherins were bad people. If anything, most of it came down to the fact their parents had conditioned them all their lives to believe they were some sort of Wizarding Royalty for being pure-bloods but in reality, they just wanted to go about their day. Besides, they couldn't particularly hate on Alex when he was a pureblood and the only reason they did so with Sapphire was due to the fact she was in Gryffindor.
"Not as stupid as you," Sapphire quipped as she stuck her middle finger off.
"Play nice," Alex warned.
"All fun and games!" Sapphire grinned. "Besides I'll get back at him when I steal the quaffle during the next Quidditch match."

The first few weeks at Hogwarts had been calm for the most part. It never stayed that way, everyone knew that, and Harry's appearance had only made the events more extreme. There was always guaranteed to be some form of drama throughout the year and Sapphire would be lying if she said she didn't partly enjoy it.She just wished somethings were less life threatening.
