With a name destined to get her into trouble, Sapphire Black knew that the only way to live life was by taking risks and never looking back. Her brother, family and friends at her side were all that she needed to make it through the poor handout sh...

Christmas had been different at Grimmauld Place.
Andromeda, Ted and Dora had all joined them after refusing to spend Christmas without the twins. Dumbledore had strictly forbid Andromeda from taking them back home until the summer, which he couldn't really enforce when the twins were of-age. Still, they didn't wish to leave Sirius alone.
Soon enough, they were on their way back to Hogwarts and Sapphire found herself trying not to spiral out over the idea of dealing with everything at once all again.
"Snape's teaching you Occlumency?" Sapphire asked once they returned to the common room.
It was just the two of them. Everyone else had gone up to bed and left the two cousins alone, something the two of them needed. They hadn't had much of a time to speak with having the house full and Sapphire still ill. She'd recovered now, though a lingering headache was still at the back of her mind.
"Yeah," Harry grumbled.
"Alex and I could have taught you that!" Sapphire closed her eyes briefly. "I'll talk to Snape for you, make sure he'd not being—"
"What?" Harry scrunched his nose. "Why would you talk to Snape?"
"I didn't mean me, I — uh — I meant Alex would," Sapphire corrected. "He's his head of house, they have an understanding."
"There's nothing he can say, Snape just hates me," said Harry, crossing his arms.
"Well, you remind him of your dad and they didn't really get along. Dad tells me all the time," Sapphire shrugged. "I suppose that's why he prefers Alex...my brother is nothing like my dad at all. He's not even like our mum was, Andy says. He's just...Alex."
"You and Alex know everything, don't you? How do you even do Occlumency?"
"Alex and I can't do everything, Hazza," Sapphire chuckled. "Besides, Occlumency is important. Legillemency isn't my strong suit but I can't just about manage. It's just about training your mind and practice, alright? Now, off to bed."
"You can't tell me—"
"Bed," Sapphire repeated sternly. "I'm doing this new thing called 'not worrying about my cousin's as much' and you being sleep-deprived will really ruin my plan to go to bed."
With a warning look towards him, Sapphire finally moved past Harry and headed up to the boys' dorm. Sapphire found it rather sweet how McGonagall hadn't said a word about the fact she was sleeping in there, knowing she could easily demand her go back to the girls.
