With a name destined to get her into trouble, Sapphire Black knew that the only way to live life was by taking risks and never looking back. Her brother, family and friends at her side were all that she needed to make it through the poor handout sh...

There were many things that Sapphire Black enjoyed in life but teaching a group of students in a secret club was one of her top things.
She didn't think it would be something she enjoyed to do, hell, she hated academics most days but there was something rewarding in making sure her friends knew how to defend themselves. She wouldn't have lived with herself if something happened to them and she'd done nothing.
Sapphire would make sure people knew how to defend themselves.
"You okay?" Fred called as they were the last in the dorm. "You're staring into space."
"Staring into space never hurt anyone," Sapphire hummed as her eyes flicked to him. "Sorry."
"No need to apologise," Fred smiled. "Were you up all night?"
"Yeah, I was," Sapphire admitted.
She was starting to live a little more honestly. There was no point in telling lies to Fred, he could see right through her anyway and it would only make him worry more if she kept repeating 'I'm fine' when she wasn't.
"Nightmares?" Fred questioned.
"No," Sapphire shook her head as she wrapped her arms around his torso. "Just...awake. To be honest, there's just a lot going on. I really want to pass my N.E.W.T.s, you know?"
"I know and you will," Fred assured.
"C'mon, we need to go or we'll be late for the D.A. meeting," Sapphire hummed.
She pressed a light kiss to his cheek before grabbing his hand and leading the two of them towards the room of requirement.
They had finally started to work on Patronuses, something Sapphire knew they had all been dying to get to. They had been finding it difficult, though Alex had a lot of patience in trying to work out why people's memories weren't strong enough. Sapphire had let Alex take the reign on that lesson for that reason.
"What's your Patronus, Saph?" Alicia questioned that afternoon as she watched her hummingbird patronus fly around.
"Yeah, we want to see!" Deam Thomas added.
Sapphire let a small smile take over her lips as everyone turned to her. It hadn't even crossed her mind that she had yet to cast the spell in front of of them, despite Alex's eagle flying around the room most of the time.
