Luckily, her efforts were not in vain for they had won the Quidditch match...which Draco and his friends had tried to sabotage. Sadly for them, Alex got to them before McGonagall could...and well...

Alex could be rather scary at times and there was something about him cursing Draco for being a sore loser that made Sapphire chuckle. Draco paled about two shades while Alex yelled at them before the teachers arrived.

As the looming exams drew near, Sapphire found that everyone had been confined within the castle walls, striving to muster their concentration amidst the tantalizing summer breeze seeping in through the open windows. No one expected to see that even Fred and George Weasley were observed diligently studying alongside Sapphire.

The only one worrying more than Percy Weasley was Nathan Lupin, though Sapphire didn't know why.

"Nate, exams don't mean a lot at your age," Sapphire assured the upset boy. "Why are you so bothered?"

"I just am," Nathan sniffled. "For a Ravenclaw, I'm stupid!"

"You are not stupid," Sapphire said as she put an arm around her shoulder. "You're smarter than me!"

"No, you're just really bad at bookwork...but you're amazing with magic!" Nathan whined. "It gives you an advantage in the book work too because you can just remember the practical!"

"Okay, that's it, come on."

Sapphire led the blue-tied boy towards the Defense Against the Dark Arts office, knowing that she would find Remus there and he'd have some sort of wise words to say and if he didn't, he had chocolate!

"Sapphire! What are you— oh hello Nate!" Remus beamed as he opened his daughter.

His smile faltered when he saw his son crying, ushering them both into his office.

"What happened?" He questioned.

"Nothing, he's just a little stressed over exams," Sapphire explained.

"Nate, there's so reason to be upset—"

"That's what I said!"

"—you just have to do your best," Remus concluded as he handed him a bar of chocolate. "You've never been this upset over exams before, what's going on?"

"Terry said I was just a stupid mute," Nathan mumbled. "He was being mean to Luna and tried to tell him to bog off."

Sapphire felt rage build up in her but Remus gave her a warning look to calm down.

"You are not stupid or a mute, Nathan Lupin," said Remus, placing his hands on Remus' shoulder. "You are a kind boy with a very smart mind. You don't need anyone else to tell you otherwise."

"I know," Nathan looked at the floor.

"I could beat up Terry—"

"Sapphire, no," Remus interrupted sharply. "But if that boy is bullying you Nate, I do want to know."

"It was just that comment, I promise," Nathan replied honestly.

Remus nodded Sapphire hooked arms with Nathan.

"Okay, cheer up and we'll go find Luna!"

Remus Lupin stared at the two of them as they left. It reminded him of Serina Potter far too much, who used to drag him to study with him when Sirius Black was too busy hanging around with James Potter. He seemed it was mother-like daughter and it set a small smile on his face.

Okay but...if you played Quidditch, which position would you play?

1. Seeker

2. Beater

3. Chaser

4. Keeper

5. Commentator

I think I'd play a beater. Like, I could totally be aggressive hitting a bludger if I'd had a bad day. Catching and throwing quaffles probably wouldn't work with my dyspraxia 🤣

Also I'm slowly running out of prewritten chapters from the previous version of this book so updates might slow down a little bit in the coming weeks :) They take me days to write a chapter so I can only keep up by so much!
