The sky stretched wide above her, the soft hues of sunset melting into the waves.

She stood on the familiar shore, camera in hand, as the salty breeze brushed against her skin.

The beach had always been her safe place.

A place filled with memories.

Raising her camera, she focused on the horizon, snapping a picture just as the golden light reflected off the water.

The shutter clicked.

And suddenly—

She was no longer alone.

Flashback

Laughter rang in the air.

Tiny feet splashed in the water as she ran toward the waves, her mother’s laughter following close behind.

"Be careful!" her father called out, camera in hand, capturing the moment.

She turned, arms outstretched, grinning as the ocean kissed her ankles.

Her mother reached her, wrapping an arm around her waist and spinning her slightly before setting her down.

"Again! Again!" she had giggled, looking up at them.

Her father chuckled, lowering the camera. "How about one last picture before the sun sets?"

She had stood between them, smiling brightly, her parents’ warmth surrounding her.

A moment frozen in time.

The shutter clicked—

Present

Her fingers tightened around the camera.

The waves lapped at the shore, whispering secrets she could no longer hear.

The warmth was gone.

But the picture remained.

Lowering the camera, she took a deep breath, allowing the cool air to fill her lungs.

Even though they were gone, these moments still existed within her.

And as long as she had her camera—

She would never forget.

The waves rolled gently onto the shore, the sound blending with the distant cries of seagulls.

She stood there, lost in thought, fingers lingering over the camera as if trying to hold onto the past a little longer.

The world around her faded, drowned out by memories—
