-"Give it back!" she had screamed, her younger self trembling as she reached for the pendant.
The bully had only laughed. "This? But it's just a worthless little trinket."
No. It wasn't just a trinket. It held a picture-the only picture-of her as a baby, cradled in her mother's arms, her father beside them, smiling.
"Please..." Her voice had cracked with desperation.
But they never listened.
Instead, one of them threw it into the fire.
She had lunged for it, but hands had held her back. Mocking laughter filled her ears as the flames swallowed it whole, turning the last piece of her mother into nothing but ashes.

"I swear, in front of your eyes, you will see your life crumble down! Karma is a big thing, and it will get to you too!"
