Today has felt like a long day. Initially, I found it relatively effortless to secure a buyer for Jack Bird's Golden Egg. Each egg weighs ten kilograms. The gold is valued at one hundred Lien per gram, and I possess a hundred eggs, though I've only sold fifty. Nevertheless, that was sufficient to earn me millions of Lien, which I require to purchase the land I need.
The next logical step was to visit a real estate company, which proved to be challenging. Most of the properties they offered were houses, not land. It took me four hours to locate a company with land for sale. While there were other options available, they were primarily leasing land, which I wished to avoid. I wanted full ownership to eliminate any potential complications, especially since land purchased in Vale isn't subject to the Vale Council's regulations. This allows me to use the land, both above and below, as I choose, which contributes to land scarcity due to large companies purchasing it for their own needs.
Nevertheless, I have ultimately purchased the land and have managed all the requisite paperwork. If the information provided by the agent is accurate, the process should be completed in approximately one hour, enabling me to construct a property that fulfils all my requirements. While waiting for the paperwork to be completed, Hephaestus and I brainstormed ideas and designs for our house, including the amenities we would need.
Certainly, we envisioned several key elements: a workshop for both me and her, a swimming pool, a gym, and an underground training room resilient to my attacks, along with simulation capabilities. Additionally, we desire a theatre, a dining room, multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, a kitchen, a backyard farm, a library, a weapons vault, a game room, areas for relaxation such as a steam room and sauna, a pet room for potential taming projects, and many other features we may consider adding later.
Before I realised it, Hephaestus had already drafted a blueprint for me. Meanwhile, I was looking into simulation projects. Atlas releases outdated projects that they've since improved, but I have a goddess with me who can design a blueprint for our very own simulation room using their so-called outdated tech. I smirk at the idea. What we would create would be far more advanced than anything Atlas could ever produce.
After much anticipation and preparation, everything was finally in place. I was proud to own a substantial 25 hectares of land. It's surprising that land prices were not as high as I expected, yet it's clear why there are so few available on the market.
We journeyed to our new land, and I was set on building our home quickly. Yet, Hephaestus wondered if I could construct something as substantial as the blueprint she designed at the real estate office. This house, significantly larger than Hephaestus Manor, would likely surpass even Schnee Manor in size.
"It shouldn't be a problem at all. As long as I have the necessary energy to create it, there won't be any issues. And I have plenty of it," I told Hephaestus. I'm not boasting; it's simply the truth. I have wielded powerful magic and skills, yet I never felt exhausted while exploring the dungeon in Orario, where I spent days without rest, defeating all the enhanced monsters to accumulate every EP I could to bring Hephaestus to Remnant.
"I'm really intrigued by that spell you mentioned, [Iris], right?" Hephaestus asked. Ever since our first date, she had been curious about it. She often wondered where I found a spell that was new to her. However, once I explained that I came from a world beyond hers, it clicked for her why she hadn't heard of it before.
"This would be the first time you would see it in action. A spell that converts magical energy to physical material," I said. Looking at the blueprint and memorising it, I closed my eyes to concentrate. Every detail Hephaestus added in the blueprint, every nook and cranny, I made sure to incorporate it as I used [Iris].
Hephaestus looked forward and noticed a blue flicker of energy, which was transforming into physical forms that began to take shape according to her blueprint. The speed at which the structure was being constructed was astonishing. Suddenly, the ground below shifted, and a building emerged. A few minutes later, all was completed.
"What do you think? It's quite an impressive spell, isn't it? This is a permanent structure, not a temporary one that will eventually fade away," I remarked to Hephaestus, noticing her gaze on the spell's power.
"This resembles the power of a god of creation. I can hardly believe a human can achieve such a feat. The level of magic I sensed was tremendous. When you mentioned having plenty, I would never have guessed the true extent, and even after constructing the building, you seem completely unfazed," said Hephaestus. She was amazed by the sheer volume of magical energy I possess, something no one in Orario, apart from the gods, possesses.
"By the way, this entire structure is constructed from Mithril and Adamantium. After some extensive analysis of these two materials, I believe it was worthwhile. This building can endure several of my [Mana Burst] attacks before showing signs of deterioration. That said, I also intend to implement additional enhancements to elevate it beyond its current state," I explained to Hephaestus. I plan to integrate several runic enhancements that will allow it to self-repair, self-clean, and perform any other functions I can conceive, with the addition of a bounded field to protect from intruders and other security measures.
"Now, the only items left to purchase for this place are electronics like a TV, washing machine, dishwasher, and so on. I managed to create beds, couches, and similar furniture, but electronics posed more challenges due to my lack of knowledge about their complete internals," I explained to Hephaestus. She already knew what a TV was from her experience at the hotel. She found it captivating, describing it as a live theatre experience within one's home, in her words.
"That's a shame. I was looking forward to watching the Ninjas of Love TV series," said Hephaestus. She was hooked the moment she saw it. She liked it a lot.
"Well, we still have daylight. We can head to the mall and have a look at what they have. Plus, we can also purchase all the other appliances we need," I told Hephaestus. This caused her to beam in delight. Huh? She is really hooked bad.
The mall was just a short drive away from us, only a few minutes by car. Unfortunately, since we didn't have our own vehicle, we had to call for a service to take us there. I realised I really need to dedicate some time in my [Thought Partition] to learn a flight spell, teleportation spell, or even a high-speed movement spell- they would be invaluable right now. So, I followed through with my plan. I had already completed all the other spells I was working on, particularly [Purification], [Dai Rasenringu], and [Full Counter].
Hephaestus stands apart from most women regarding shopping. She avoids window shopping in purposeless stores. Instead, she has compiled a list of essential items, and we will only visit those specific shops. The items on the list include: refrigerator, blender, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, air conditioner (though I might just use magic for temperature control), mixer, waffle iron, juicer, toaster, rice cooker, pressure cooker, and kitchen stove (which I intend to modify), along with fryer (Also modify), meat grinder, washing machine, and dishwasher, among others.
"Hey, Jaune. Do you mind if I tinker with these items after we buy them?" Hephaestus asked. Honestly, this was predictable. It seemed natural for a goddess of the forge to want to analyse things she had never encountered before, even if I considered her understanding of mechashift questionable.
"I don't mind. If they break, we can either repair them or buy a new one," I said. She can do whatever she likes; it's just as much hers as it is mine. Another hour and we are finally done with all our shopping. Thank you, inventory!
