"Morning... oh um Phil did you block my parents?"

Phil was starting to go pink.
"Uh n..no why would I do that...
Oh Christ sake! Yes I did it! I hated seeing you in the state your were in so I tried helping you... sorry"

"It's ok..."

Dan turned his phone on.

Ring me back as soon as you can... we went to your apartment...

Dan looked at the message. His stomach felt like it was a tumble dryer.

"We slept in quite late"
Dan chuckled.

"Yh... would you like anything?"

"Some toast please... I'll come down in a second.."

Phil left the room and Dan tried calling Chris. He didn't ring him when Phil was in the room cause he didn't want him to worry.

Chris answered the second time.

"Dan what time are you coming back?!"

"In two days why?"

"You might wanna cut your little trip short... someone broke in!"

His parents had broken in. Why were they so desperate to get Dan?

"Right ... Crap.. how do I take this in...
How bad is it?"

"Your door is off its hinges, photo frames are smashed, Phils bedroom is absolutely trashed! And your bedroom is super messy!"

Dans heart broke. That house took him and Phil years to make it seem homely and now it was all broken because of his shit parents.

"I'm packing my bags... I'll go home and leave Phil here... thanks mate.. bye"

"Stay safe.. bye"

What was Dan going to tell Kathryn and Phil?

Phil came up the stairs with two plates and two pieces of buttery toast on them.

"Phil... my parents broke in..."

Phil stood there shocked.

"They did?"

"Yh... I'm leaving to go look at the house... to see if it's safe."

"I'm coming too!"

"Your not! What if my parents are there?! Chris said our house is a mess and I don't want you to see it... can you let me go on my own?"

Phil thought for a second.

"Dan.. please be safe.. and ring me when you get there.. I'll be back tomorrow.."

Dan nodded.
"Thanks Phil"

Phil grabbed Dans stuff and threw it into Dans suitcase.

"I'll explain to my mum.. please stay safe.. make sure to ring me else I'll ring you!"

"Ok... I'll see you tomorrow Phil."

Dan walked down the stairs, trying not to make a sound so Phils mum didn't question anything and went out the door.

He was going to catch the next train.
