They'd had a Christmas gala for the Justice League, Teen Titans, etc, the day before. But now it was Christmas Eve so the close ones were gathered together.

Damian and Jon took a seat beside the tree and began exchanging gifts with their family members, yet to exchange gifts with each other.

~Time Skip~

All except one present had been given. Both Damian and Jon had gotten a good haul from their families.

Damian and Jon had presents back at their apartment they'd exchanged earlier as well as Damian had secretly told Jon about another gift Jon would have to wait for later if you know what I mean.

It had come down to Jon's gift to Damian. Jon could feel his heart beating in his chest. He was chewing on the inside of his cheek and his fingers were rapping against his leg anxiously.

"Beloved, beloved!" Damian exclaimed. Jon blinked. Damian was looking at him concerned.

"Are you sure you're alright? Perhaps you did catch a cold..." Damian trailed off, pressing the back of his hand to Jon's forehead. He then stood to get Jon's hot chocolate.

"I'm fine Dami." Jon said. He glanced at his mom who gave him a 'go on' motion. He took a deep breath and took a large box out from under the tree.

He stood up with Damian and handed him the gift.

"Here Dami." Jon said with a smile. Damian took the gift. He quickly inspected it.

"Beloved, we already exchanged gifts at home." Damian said. Jon chuckled nervously.

"This one is extra special." He said. Damian raised as eyebrow but began to unwrap it.

He blinked when he saw a new box in the one he'd just unwrapped.

He unwrapped that one to find another. And another. Damian chuckled. "I see what you're doing." He said. Jon smirked.

Damian unwrapped another box. And another. And another. And another. And another. And another. And another, until finally, he came to the last box. The boxes had shrunken each time he'd unwrapped them.

"This better be the last one." Damian glared playfully. Jon bit his lip anxiously.

"It is trust me." By now everyone had stopped what they were doing to watch Damian reveal the hidden gift.

Damian took the lid off the box and furrowed his brow when he saw a small, red velvet box inside.

"Jon, what is this...?" Damian asked slowly. Jon took a deep breath in. Everyone's eyes were trained on the two.

Jon took the red box from's Damian's hands who was studying him carefully.

"Damian, ever since I met you, I knew I liked you. I fell in love with you the second I met you eleven years ago. Your gorgeous emerald eyes, your soft skin, your fiery personality. I knew you were special. And I decided, one day I'd kiss you. And I did, and to this day we've been together. Through thick and thin, beside each other for years upon years, and always having each other's backs through anything. I love you Damian," Jon slowly began sinking down to one knee. "And I always will. You are the love of my life and I want to be with you forever." Jon rested on one knee and readied his hands. Damian was still standing with a hand cupped over his mouth, gazing down at Jon. "So, will you; Damian Thomas al Gul Wayne, marry me?" Jon opened the box to reveal the ring.

The room was absolutely silent, awaiting Damian's answer. Damian slowly began nodding silently with tear filled eyes.

"Y-Yes! Yes of course I'll marry you Jon!" Damian exclaimed.

Everyone erupted into cheers. Jon broke into a grin as wide as the Joker's. He slipped the ring on Damian's finger before he stood up quickly.

Damian threw his arms around the taller's neck and Jon wrapped his around Damian's waist.

The two shared a passionate kiss filled with love and warmth.

Once they finally broke, they leaned their foreheads together and Damian moved his hands to cup Jon's cheeks.

"I love you Jon. Merry Christmas." Damian whispered.

"I love you too Dami. Merry Christmas."
