Storybrooke

I rubbed and lifted my head off of the ground. I was surrounded by bars. I was in a cage. I looked down at my wrist to see that the cuff was still on my wrist. I sighed in defeat and got up onto my feet. A spinning sound was carried through my ears and I looked to my right to see Rumpelstiltskin in another cage. He was spinning gold into a basket on a little wheel like in his story. I went over to the area closest to this cage and pressed my body against it.

"Rumpelstiltskin," I whispered over to him, but he didn't look up. He just kept spinning.

"He can't hear you," I looked away from him and up at the voice that belonged to Zelena.

"What did you do to him?" I exclaimed, walking over to the side of the cage where she was.

"Nothing, he's just lost in his own little mind," She smirked and I lowered my eyes at her. "Don't give that look, darling. It's rude," She teased, pouting her lip. I sat down on the ground and faced the wall so I didn't have to look at her face. "I have a job for you."

"I'm not doing anything," I snapped, trying to push her out of my mind.

"Perhaps, you'll change your mind," She shrugged.

"What in the hell would make me change my mind?" I laughed, hissing through my teeth. I turned my head and looked at her.

"Peter," My face fell at her words. "If you ever think about resisting my orders, your little Romeo gets hurt. Now we can't have, can we?" She smiled. Tears blinked in my eyes. "No, we can't," She sarcastically frowned. This can't be happening. Not Peter.

"You're a monster," I spat, my voice shaking at the end of it. She smiled at my response. "What do I need to do?" I asked, sadly.

"Come with me," She ordered and opened my cage. I walked out of it and followed her up a set of stairs. We exited my prison to realize that I was in imprisoned in a cellar. Ahead of me was a small farm house. I mentally laughed to myself. That's ironic. We went inside and she led me to the kitchen. There was a small table in the middle of the kitchen with two chairs. "Since you're not worthy for my plans yet, you will be my servant," Great. "So, I suggest you make me dinner," I nodded to her request and went searching in the cabinets. "Good girl," She smiled and left the house in a cloud. I grabbed a pot from the shelf and filled it with water. I set it on the stove and boiled the water. I've never really cooked before. Usually, with a snap of my fingers, food would appear before me, but that was when I had magic. I finally finished Zelena's dinner and set it down on the table. I turned around and got a fork out of the drawer. When I turned around, Zelena was in the chair. "Looks good, sis," I set the fork down on the table and she picked it up, digging into the pasta I made. "I have to know where you got your cooking skills."

"I don't know," I answered in a mumble. She nodded accepting my answer. "Come on. Back to your cage," She waved her hand over me and a green cloud surrounded me. I was soon in my cage where I belonged. It was pitch black. I could barely see anything. The only light that peeked through the wooden doors was the moonlight. I went over to a corner and sat down, pulling my knees to my chest. I let the tears rush freely down my cheeks. Peter can't get hurt. I have to do what Zelena orders even if it means betraying my father, Emma or even Peter. My family. My eyes started to droop and they closed. I was in for a restless night of nightmares.

Next Morning

I felt someone kick my foot as I lay asleep on the ground. I opened my eyes, lazily and saw Zelena standing above me.

"Get up, I have a job for you," She commanded. I rolled my eyes and I got up to my feet. She grabbed my arm and dragged me up the cellar stairs. The air was fresh and cold. I looked all around me to see that it had snowed. I smiled, remembering how beautiful the snow looked at Christmas time in New York.

"What do you need, sister?" I spoke with a hint of sass. Zelena seemed to ignore it. I rubbed my arms to keep me warm.

"I need you to go into town and get sometime from Rumpelstiltskin's shop," She instructed and I started to laugh.

"Won't they recognize me?" I asked, stating the obvious. With a flick of her wrist, I was transformed into a totally different person. I had blonde hair instead of black and my eyes were still green. I was thankful Zelena put some winter clothing on me because I was freezing before. She pulled out a picture of the item and handed it to me. It was a book. It looked like a spell book to me. "You will retrieve this item and I do have eyes in this town. If you even think of escaping, your precious Peter will die," I nodded and began my journey through the woods. Halfway through my walk, I noticed that Zelena had taken the magic cuff of off my hand. I stopped in my tracks and closed my eyes. I flashed myself to in front of Gold's shop. My magic, it's back. I smiled to myself and entered the shop. The curtains leading to the back room moved and Belle came out. I smiled at her.

"May I help you?" She asked, kindly and I nodded, making my way over to the counter.

"I was hoping to acquire an anniversary gift for my friends," I lie and she turned around to go to the back room.

"I think I might have just the thing," She smiled, but before she could go back there, I waved my hand that glowed with magic and she froze in her spot. I walked around to go behind the counter, searching for the book. I looked around and my eyes came across a painting. I moved it and it revealed a vault in the wall. I placed my thumb on the door and it unlocked to my surprise. I opened the door and saw various magical items. I scrambled around the vault and pulled out a book. It was the book I was looking for. I smiled and closed the vault. What does Zelena want with this? What is she planning? I stuffed the book in my jacket and went back to my position in front of the counter. I unfroze Belle and put a memory loss spell on her so she wouldn't remember me. She continued to walk to the back and I flashed out of the shop. I reappeared in front of a trail that led to Zelena's house. I started to walk until I bumped into someone. I looked up and saw that it was Peter. My heart sank as I stared at him. He smiled at me.

"Oh, I'm sorry," He apologized and I nodded.

"It's perfectly fine," I said, not wanting to make eye contact. I was at the point of crying. I walked past him.

"Wait!" He shouted to me. I froze and looked behind my shoulder. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a picture of me. "Have you seen this girl?" I wanted to tell him so bad, but he'd be dead within a second.

"No, I haven't seen her," I lied and his face fell. "Sorry," He nodded and sniffled. "Hey," I put my hand on his shoulder and he looked into my eyes. "Don't give up. I know for a fact that she is still out there."

"Thanks," He smiled, shyly. I smiled back and let my arm drop from his shoulder. I turned around and walked back in the woods. I turned to look to see that Peter wasn't there anymore. I waved my hand over myself and turned back to my normal self. I closed my eyes and flashed back to the farm house. Zelena was sat at the kitchen table, looking bored. She saw me and smiled.

"Do you have it?" She asked and I reached into my jacket, pulling the book out. I placed it on the table and slid it over to her. She grabbed it and looked through it. "Excellent," She praised. "I saw you ran into lover boy.

"I didn't tell him anything," I blurted in panic.

"Oh, I know. Remember, I have eyes in this town even in the woods," She smirked. I moved behind me and saw that she was reading about a time curse. My body froze as I scanned the words. A brain, courage and a heart. I knew this spell all too well. Time Travel. I tried it once and it backfired on me. I wanted to go back to when the Dark One killed my mother. The curse requires a infant sacrifice. That's when it backfired on me. I couldn't do that to a child. A newborn baby. Snow's baby. I shook my head and covered my mouth in shock. Zelena felt my sadness and laughed. "You will be the savior, Riley. You have a brain, courage, and a whole lot of heart. You will be a hero."

"But I'll be dead," I pointed out and she nodded.

"A hero in death," She smirked. She snapped her fingers and I was transported back to my cage. I stumbled against the wall and cried out in a pain. I'm going to die
