Storybrooke

Zelena unlocked Rumple's cell and gripped the dagger in her hand. She walked over to my cell and unlocked it too. My chains fell from my wrist and I stared up at her. She used magic to force me closer to her. She smiled.

"Riley, your destiny awaits you," Zelena smirked and I glared at her. "Awe, don't give me that look. After all of this is done, you'll be a hero."

"A hero," I scoffed, laughing. "I'll be dead. I'm simply a toy. A simple chess piece in your little game. I'd rather die, protecting the ones I love than helping you."

"Well, your wish is about to be fulfilled," She rolled her eyes. A puff of smoke surrounded me and I closed my eyes. The end is near. I opened them to see that I was in an old barn. I was in the middle of a circle with weird symbols surrounding me. Zelena suddenly appeared with a baby cradled in her arms. She smiled down at it. The Charmings baby. How long was I out? She pulled the child on the ground in one of the other circles. She rushed over to me and gripped my arm, digging her nails into me. She pulled me by the hem of my shirt to my right position. I felt energy being drained from me all of a sudden. My eyes drooped. I crumpled to the ground and began to doze off. I looked over at the baby to see a blue stream coming out of its chest. Rumpelstiltskin stood on the other side of Zelena while she stood in front of the circle in the center of her spell.

"Don't worry, dearie. When all of this is over, you won't remember a thing," She told him with a grin. She turned to me and looked down. "Neither will you, but of course, you'll be dead," She laughed and my eyes widened at a pain shooting throughout my body.

"It isn't over yet," A familiar male voice said. I looked over at the barn door entrance to see the heroes; David, Emma, Regina, Hook, Robin, and Peter. Zelena turned to them and smirked.

"Who's going to stop me? Certainly not the Savior," She teased which hinted that Hook did kiss you or vise versa. Peter ran over to me and tried to pull me away from the circle, but it didn't work. The pain grew more immense. Peter knelt down and stroked my hair with tears in his eyes. Emma held her gun up to Zelena.

"Go get him. I got your back," Emma told David and she ran to the side.

"And I got your heart," Robin said to Regina, running over to the opposite side of the circle.

"Zelena, stop now. We're not going to let you succeed," Regina warned and Zelena held up the Dark One's Dagger.

"Rid me of those pests," She commanded and Rumple nodded. He lifted his hand and used his magic to knock Robin and David to the ground. He then turned to Emma and Hook.

"Please, no more water," Hook joked with a smile. Emma rolled her eyes at him.

"Get the dagger then, the Dark One will be on your side," Rumple hinted before knocking their weapons out of their hands. I turned my attention back to Peter. He pulled me to his lap and nuzzled his head into my neck as I was slowly dying. Death. When you die, the world suddenly begins to stop. Time stands still and everything seems like it's in slow motion. I heard Regina's distant voice, but I couldn't make out what she said. I looked to the side to see Zelena on the ground. I smiled, weakly, knowing that she was defeated. The dagger was on the ground, far away from her. I looked up at Peter and smiled, sadly at him. I couldn't take my eyes off of him. I felt the pain go away in my chest and my energy level lower even more. I started to close my eyes.

"Peter," I mumbled in my sore voice. "I love you."

"I love you too," He said back before I closed my eyes. The last thing I heard was Peter scream my name, but I was gone.

Peter's Point of View:

"Riley!" I screamed out for her, but it was too late. Her eyes were closed and she was gone. I buried my head into her neck and started to sob. I looked up with anger in my eyes and they landed on Zelena. "You!" I got up and ran towards her with my fists balled up, but Emma put her hand on my chest, stopping me from doing any damage.

"Whoa! Peter!" She restrained me. She stepped in front of me and put a hand on my shoulder. "Don't do this. This isn't the person you want to be," I stared at her before nodding and going back over to Riley. I knelt down and scooped her in my arms. Her body was limp. I leaned into her ear.

"I love you," I repeated even though she couldn't hear me. Hook rushed over to me and looked at his daughter. He put his hand on her chest and his eyes brightened up.

"She's alive," He beamed. He held his arms out and I gently put her into his arms. "We have to get her help."

Riley's Point of View:

I slowly rose up from my spot. I was surrounded by white. I got up to my feet and looked around. Nothing, but white. I looked down at my clothing. White. Has this place ever heard of black?

"Hello?" I called out, my voice echoing. I sighed, but to my surprise, a lady appeared in front of me.

"Welcome, Riley," She greeted with a smile.

"Where am I? Am I dead?" I questioned and she shook her head.

"No, you're not. You're in the place between life and death," She replied, folding her hands together over her stomach. "See for yourself," She handed me a little mirror. I could only see myself.

"Show me myself," I spoke, unsurely and she nodded, telling me that I was right. The mirror lit up and I could see Emma, crying in Hook's arms while I was laid down on a hospital bed. Peter was in a chair beside my bed, holding my pale hand.

"You can live, you know?" The lady spoke up and I looked up from the mirror.

"How?" I asked.

"You have a pure heart even though you did murder hundreds on Neverland. Your heart seemed to recover from all of that darkness that surrounded your life," She explained. "This world," She pointed to a black hole that appeared on one side of her. "Can't have pure hearts. It would disrupt the balance of things. They're too powerful," Another hole appeared which was made up of light. "Follow that light if you want to live," She instructed and disappeared. I stared at the hole in front of me and began to walk towards it. It seemed to get brighter and brighter as I walked closer.

I gasped for air and everyone in the room turned to me. Peter ran over to my side and held my hand, tackling me with a hug. Emma called for the curse as she rushed over to me, holding my other hand. Last, but certainly not least was my father who hugged me tighter than anyone else.

"I'm alive!" I giggled and everyone smiled.
