Enchanted Forest

Hook placed the invitation on a tray which one of the servants was holding at the entrance. I walked further with Peter's hand around mine. The castle was beautiful. The ballroom especially. I watched the people dance and I couldn't help, but cringe at the clothing. I could really use a pair of black skinny jeans right now.

"Sometimes, I think I was born in the wrong period," I said aloud to Peter as he came up next to me.

"Well, the clothing may suck, but I gotta say, you look stunning," I blushed at his kind words. Emma and Hook soon came up to us and smiled down at the people.

"Greetings!" A voice arose from the crowd. I looked to see a man coming towards us. He wore all gold clothing and a crown. "I am King Midas, father of the bride. Who do I have the honor to welcome into my home?" Emma and Hook looked at each other with worry until Hook spoke up.

"I am," He started. "I am.." He was struggling. "Prince uhh."

"Prince Charles and I'm Princess," Emma paused to think. "Leia," I chuckled at the Star Wars reference. Hook nodded at her answer. "And this is my daughter, Mia and her date, Luke," Emma finished with a grin. I nodded to the King and curtsied. Peter bowed to the King.

"Honor to have you all," The King smiled. He leaned into a servant. "Announce Prince Charles, Princess Leia and their daughter, Mia and her date, Luke," Midas commanded. The servant nodded and announced us over the crowd. We bowed as the King walked away. We descended down the grand staircase and onto the ballroom floor.

"Mary Margaret and David are always going on about this ball," Emma pointed out, looking at all of the people. "What's the big deal about these things?" Her eyes lit up at the people dancing so elegantly.

"You were saying?" Hook teased, noticing Emma's fascination. He grabbed her hand and led her over to the middle of the dance floor.

"What am I supposed to do?" Emma asked, quietly. Hook snickered and he carried her away, leading her. I turned around to Peter and chuckled.

"Do you know how to do this?" I asked him and he shook his head.

"Nope," I laughed and watched Emma dance with my father. Something caught my eye. I looked up to the balcony which overlooked the ballroom. It was Prince Charming or David or Prince James, whatever name he went by. He stood up on it, looking down. Next to him was Princess Abigail, Midas' daughter. She looked very posh and stern. I looked away and focused on Emma and Hook. I felt someone grab my hand, gently and I knew it was Peter. I smiled up at him and he led me through the dance floor and to the outside balcony.

"Where are you taking me?" I playfully said and Peter grinned, showing a true smile.

"It's a surprise," We were outside, watching the fireworks. I leaned forward and rested my arms on the railing, admiring the bursting colors.

"It's beautiful," I breathed, sighing.

"They're beauty doesn't compare to yours," Peter complimented, wrapping his arm around my waist. I rested my head on his chest, feeling his warmth. I pried my eyes away from the view and up at Peter. He noticed my staring and caught my gaze. We stared at each other for a few moments before I connected our lips. The fireworks were nothing compared to the ones I felt when our lips attached to each other. Peter pulled away, slowly, wanting to savor the moment. His face had so much emotion and he broke into a sheepish grin, looking to the floor. "Riley...," He breathed out, chuckling. "Words cannot explain how much I love you. This year, well it's been crap, but you made it so much better for me. True Love Never Fails," Tears filled his eyes and I reached up to his face, wiping him away. His hand reached down to his pocket and he pulled something out, gripping it in his hand. "I know this isn't the perfect time to do this, seeing that we are stuck in the past, but we are also at a ball so, the setting makes up for it," He laughed and I smiled at his joke. Peter then, got down on his knee. My mouth gaped open. He lifted a little box, cupped in his hand. He opened it and revealed a stunning diamond ring. I brought my hand to my mouth. Now, I was the one crying. "Rilland Angela Jones, will you do the honor of being my wife?" He proposed. I was speechless.

"Peter," I spoke through my hand. "Oh my god!" I nodded, fiercely and he sprung up from his spot, slipping the ring on my finger and hugging me, tightly. "How did you afford that ring?"

"Let's just say I owe Leroy cheeseburgers," He laughed into my shoulder and I giggled. I pulled away and looked into his eyes.

"We're getting married," I breathed out and Peter nodded, happily. "Let's go find Hook and Emma," Peter agreed and we headed off into the castle. My mind started to wander elsewhere. What will my father think? I pushed the thought away and we walked into the ballroom. Commotion was everywhere.

"There she is! She helped the bandit escape!" A Black Knight shouted as Emma ran into the ballroom. She was soon surrounded by the Queen's guards.

"Going somewhere?" The Queen came into the castle with a smirk.

"Regina, I-"

"I think that's a bit informal, wouldn't you say?!" The Queen yelled at Emma, interrupting her. "Show some respect!" Emma stayed silent. "It's your majesty," She hissed. The Knights ran over to Emma and grabbed her arms. Emma struggled, trying to get out of their grasp. I saw Hook dash in and he hid behind a crowd. His face dropped when he saw Emma. "You're not going anywhere," The Queen sneered. "Snow White may have left the party early, but I suspect your night's just about to begin," Regina laughed. "Take her away," The Knights hoisted Emma up and dragged her out of the ballroom, probably to the Queen's castle. Hook rushed over to us in a panic.

"We need to get her back. She has the ring," Hook quickly said, his eyes still on the exit where Emma disappeared.
