Storybrooke

I opened my eyes and found myself in the middle of the Storybrooke graveyard. I looked around and saw a group of people in front of me with their backs turned to me. I walked over to see what they were doing. My eyes widened at the name that was written on the tombstone. It was mine. Riley Jones. I looked at the people and realized that it was everyone I knew. My father, Emma, Peter and many more. Henry was even there. Suddenly, I was the one in the coffin. I was wearing a white dress while I lay in my coffin. I reached up and started to scream, but no one could hear me.

"Dad!" I screamed at him, but nothing. He didn't notice me in distress. He put his hand on Emma's shoulder as she cried. He was trying to stay strong, but his emotions overcame him and he started to sob. Peter appeared, standing over me. I screamed at him. I tried to sit up, but a force kept me down. "Peter!!" I cried, sobbing. Peter grabbed a shovel and stuck it into a pile of dirt. He lifted the shovel with dirt collected in it and pour it on top of me. The dirt came crashing on me and I cried even louder. "Help me! I'm alive! Don't you see?!" He didn't hear me. My father gently grabbed the shovel from Peter and Peter went crying over to Emma. She hugged him and they cried together. My father stared down at me, tears rolling down his cheeks. He stabbed the dirt with the shovel and picked it up. He froze for a few moments, taking his time. He poured the dirt on me and I was consumed by darkness.

I shot up from the floor in my cell. I looked around the room in panic. My breathing was unsteady. It was only a dream. I sighed in relief. Light peeked through the cellar doors and I decided to get up. My cuff wasn't on me because I guess Zelena trusted me not to make her angry. I put my arm through the bars and waved my hand over the lock. It unlocked and the cage floor swung open. I looked over at Rumpelstiltskin who was passed out in the corner. I exited the cell and went up the stairs, opening the doors. It was snowing. I breathed in the winter air and smiled. It never snowed in Neverland. I miss when it snowed in New York around the holidays. I walked towards the house, but I was knocked down by someone. I looked up from the ground and my eyes met the emerald green ones that I was so familiar with. My lips curved into a grin and I got up from the ground. Peter. I ran into his arms and planted my lips on his. He pulled me closer to him and gripped my waist as I cupped his face. Our lips moved against each other and I smiled, giggling into the kiss.

"Peter," I breathed as he kissed me. He smiled, pulling back from me. We rested our foreheads on one another, looking into our eyes. "You're here," My eyes lingered over to the farmhouse and panic rushed through me. "What are you doing here?"

"I came to get you, to rescue you!" He interjected it. I backed away from his grasp and shook my head.

"You can't be here. She'll kill you," I rambled on and he ran to me, pulling me into his arms once again. "No," I pushed him away which made him confused. "You have to go. I'm doing this to protect you. You have to go now!"

"Why? Don't you want to leave this place? Away from Zelena?" He shouted at me, tears going down his face. He grabbed my hand and dragged me towards the forest. I tried to rip away, but his grip was too tight. Suddenly, I felt something wrap around my waist and tear me away from Peter. He reached out for me as I screamed in fear. I looked down to see that a tree branch had a hold on me. I was dangling in the air. Zelena must have put a border spell on this place and me. I looked down at the branch and then back at Peter.

"I can't leave," I whispered loud enough for him to hear. He stared up at me in surprise. "I can't leave until this whole ordeal is over. Even if I do escape with you, she will kill you and my father. I can't deal with that," He nodded, understandingly, but I knew that he just wanted to burst in anger and frustration.

"I don't care," He snapped and I shook my head.

"But I do. I will only hurt you if I go with you," I told him and his lips trembled.

"I'll wait for you. I'll wait an eternity for you," Peter vowed and I smiled at him. I floated down and landed on the ground. We stared at each other for a minute. Peter backed away and went into the forest, disappearing from my sight. I stood there and finally collected myself before going into the house.

"You were very smart, Riley. I'm impressed," Zelena spoke as I entered the kitchen. I glared at her and went over to the fridge, getting out eggs to make breakfast. "Don't even try to lie. I saw everything and let me tell you, it made me absolutely sick," She rolled her eyes. "You were right. They would die if you went with Peter," That's when I started to laugh. I slammed the egg carton on the counter. "What?"

"You know what you're throwing at me? Empty threats. You couldn't kill them. Even if you did end up killing everyone, I wouldn't do anything for you. You wanna know why? Because I would have nothing left to live for," I spoke up and her face fell. "There's a lot of hell in my life. You couldn't reach my level if you even tried," Her eyes grew dark and she lunged at me, slapping me across my face. My hand flew to my cheek and I held it in shock, staring at her.

"Do you want to deal with the Dark One?" She threatened. I smiled at this. She gave me a confused look. "Why are you smiling?!"

"You threaten me with the Dark One? Really? Why can't you torture me yourself? Is it because you're not as powerful as everyone thinks you are?" I taunted. Her face softened. "Continue to hide behind Rumpelstiltskin. You will never be as powerful as him," She grabbed my arm and started to drag me outside. She opened the cellar door and lifted me up, throwing me down the cellar stairs. I tumbled down them, pain breaking out everywhere in my body. I screamed in agony and held my body as I landed. I yelped, but stayed strong. Don't cry, don't cry. Zelena marched down the stairs and grabbed me again. She lifted me once again and threw me against the nearest wall. My back hit the brick and I winced at the pain. Dear God, why? She bent down beside me and reached out towards me. She did the unthinkable. She plunged her hand inside my chest. I gritted my teeth together and screamed out in pain. I felt her hands curl around my heart as she ripped it out of my chest. Sweat trickled down my forehead and fresh tears rushed down like a waterfall. She smirked and held my heart in her hand. I stared down at it. She squeezed it and my eyes widened as pain shot through my body. I bit my lip and stopped myself from screaming, but it didn't work. My throat helped carry out a blood curdling scream. Shit, shit! The pain slowly started to go away and black spots filled my vision. They quickly went away and a thump in my chest gave me relief. My heart was returned to my body. I breathed in heavily and Zelena knelt closer to me.

"You know my power now," She hissed in my ear. I nodded, slowly and she smiled. She picked me up and pushed me into my cell. I crumpled to the ground and hugged my knees. She snapped her fingers and cuffs appeared on my wrist that were attached to chains. Those chains were then, locked into the wall of my cell. My cell locked and she smiled, warmly at me.

"What happened to make you so evil?!" I shouted at her and she smiled, not saying a word at me. I was alone. She flashed out and the cellar doors closed. I broke down crying. I reached out to grab the bars of the cell, but the chains held me back which caused me to cry even more. My sobs became louder. I looked at Rumplestiltskin's cell to see that he wasn't there. Probably with Zelena. I was truly alone.
