Finishing up what was left on your plate and in your glass, your mind went back to the book you found earlier. Katsuki was adamant about it not being his, but you knew it was a lie. Having the chance to get to know him, at least a little, he still managed to surprise you. It was naïve to have thought you had him all figured out. After all, it was only recently that you had gotten past his exterior.
"Hey, Kat," you called, your gaze popping up to meet his, "I know you said the book wasn't yours, but you can't really lie to me."
He turned from you, trying to hide the faint pink color on his cheeks. He was even more reluctant to talk about this, probably wishing you'd go back to asking about All Might. Your gaze didn't waver as you waited for a response. Slowly he dragged his eyes back to yours, looking all around unhappy to be here.
"What about it?" His words thick with irritation.
"I just never expected you, of all people, to be interested in..." your words faded when you caught sight of his glare. "I just meant, you never fail to surprise me. That's all."
His eyes squinted as he tried to decipher your words, "And what does that mean?"
"You just come off as abrasive and very unlikable, but now... You're just very different than what I imagined." It was your turn to look away, trying to hide as you felt heat flaring up your neck to your face. What the hell were you saying right now? You needed to shut up before you said something completely embarrassing.
Katsuki stood up without a word. Clearing the table, he went back to the kitchen. You could hear the faucet running as your flush slowly faded away. Pushing away from the table, you meandered your way to where he was. A quick look with your quirk and you picked up a towel to dry the dishes he had washed, before setting them back to join the rest. Closing the cabinet you turned back to be met with a set of crimson eyes.
"It's strange," he spoke slowly, his eyes drinking you in.
"What? Oh, the-" you pointed behind you, "I just used my quirk. I-"
He pressed a finger to your mouth to stop your rambling.
"It's not that," he shook his head slightly, like he was trying to clear it, "No one's ever..." He released a breath, ultimately changing his mind on what he wanted to say.
Slipping his finger from your lips, he tucked it beneath your chin. Both of you subconsciously leaning in, the space between you dwindling to nothing. Heat rushed across your skin and you wished you could have blamed it on the wine, but you'd only had a glass. Not nearly enough to get you a buzz, much less intoxicated. Though it sure as hell felt like it, your knees were barely holding you up, your head felt dizzy, and your face felt like it was on fire.
Sparks felt like they were leaping off of you when his lips finally met yours. His hands were surprisingly cool as his thumb swept against your jaw, his fingers now entangled in your hair. His other arm wrapped behind your back, tugging you into him. You lost focus of everything around you, if someone had asked where you were, you wouldn't have had a clue.
Without breaking the kiss, he picked you up, setting you on the counter. His fingers fumbled with the buttons of your blouse, trying to hastily open it up, without ripping it off. You couldn't help but smile against his mouth, your own hands moving to help him. As soon as the last button popped open, your blouse was discarded to the floor, his own shirt following shortly after. His lips explored your neck, chest, shoulder, anywhere they could reach as his hands moved to your pants. Lifting you up with one arm around your waist, he used the other to tug your pants to the ground.
"Katsuki," you gasped, your eyes going wide, before he set you back on the counter.
"That's my name," he murmured into your neck, "Don't forget it, because you're going to be saying it a lot."
