Gotcha

I always feel like I can't edit a chapter after I've posted it, but as I was writing the next one, I knew I had to make some changes. I only changed the ending portion of this chapter though.

"Mommy!" Aimi raced across the room and began frantically pointing at the tv. "Look it's daddy," she exclaimed. "Daddy's on the tv!"

You glanced up from your spot on the floor with Kosuke to find her jumping up and down. Some news broadcast was doing a rerun segment of a robbery from this morning and Aimi was staring at the screen in awe.

"Why's he look so mad?" She questioned when the camera cut back to Kat.

You laughed as you motioned for her to join you back by the couch. "Daddy doesn't like reporters, that's all."

"I do, and one day I'm going to be on tv too!" She shouted, her excitement now barely containable.

"And how are you going to manage that?" You teased.

"Because I'm going to be a hero just like daddy!" And with that, she took off down the hall towards her room. She was gone for maybe a few seconds before you heard the pitter patter of her feet as she ran back with a large cloth in hand. Aimi gestured for you to put the cape around her shoulders and the moment it was secure she was off again.

"I'm going to save everyone! Even you mommy, just wait and see!" Her voice echoed off the walls as she continued to run back and forth, letting her cape fly in the wind.

"I have no doubt in my mind," you chuckled.

She disappeared somewhere into the house as the front door was opened. Kat walked into the living room, his brows furrowed together as he looked around.

"What the hell is going on? I can hear the yelling from the porch."

You grinned, "Aimi's just being a hero, you know, the usual." Katsuki shook his head at her normal shenanigans as he picked up Kosuke from your arms before he gave you his hand to pull you up from the floor. "How was work?"

"Exhausting," he complained, "I'm just glad to finally be home."

He wrapped his free arm around your waist, leaning in for a welcome home kiss. But as you hooked your arms around his neck, you tilted your head back and yelled for Aimi.

"Help me, Aimi! A big mean villain got me!"

She was in the room in a blink of an eye and ran towards you and Kat. Jumping at the last second, she attempted to land a kick on Kat. But he was too quick and snatched her mid jump. He got a good hold on her leg and swung her up in the air.

"No fair," she giggled. Her smile so infectious she had the both of you beaming as brightly as her.

Kat ended up getting her to settle down long enough to take a picture of her getup. The photo was later framed and hung up in the hallway that led to her bedroom. But now it was slanted and barely hanging on to the nail in the wall after your rampage through the house. After Aimi had been taken from right under your nose, you hadn't the slightest idea of where Dabi would have taken her. He couldn't have been at the bunker with Kat and as of right now, you weren't aware of any other locations he could possibly be hiding at. But one thing didn't sit right with you. How did he already know about your sudden change of plans? A vision was what filled you in on his arrival the first time, yet Aimi was taken within seconds with no warning. It didn't make a bit of sense how he continuously got around your quirk and still remained ten steps ahead of you.

Your home was now a disaster after you had cleared just about every surface and looked through any hidden nooks and crannies in an attempt at finding some kind of clue. The book shelf in your living room was bare as the books now littered the floor, they were joined with the couch cushions, the pictures along the wall and the contents of the drawers from the storage cabinets.
