Annette's days went by like this and it was not until she finished her language lesson in the fourth month that she was finally going to begin her magic lesson. Her magic teacher is a middle-aged young woman with grey eyes and light blue hair. She introduced herself as Maimai Von Divions and is from a well-known magicians family even though the Von Divions is only a viscounts family.

She is a kind yet strict teacher and likes to give her new homework every other day.

Today she re-explained all the other types of magic there and their attributes.

Elemental magic is the most common form of magic and as in the name, it is magic that enables you to control the four elements. Water, fire, air, and Earth there are also subcategories of each element that more advanced mages can use. Those are Ice for water, Lightning for air, Lava for fire, and plants for wood.

Black magic is the second rarest form of magic, with it you can control the darkness for example Shadow magic, illusion magic, puppet magic, and the most difficult type and most feared of magic necromancy.

White magic is the third rarest form of magic and with it, you can cast light magic, purification magic, and support magic.

Space magic Is the rarest form of magic and with it, you can do stuff such as teleportation, void magic, and force magic.

Summoning Magic is a type of magic that allows its user to summon things. The easiest and the most common thing is to summon spirits, normal weapons, then it is animals after that is to form is summon magic weapons. Then lastly it is to summon magical beasts.

Healing magic is magic that allows the user to heal such things as wounds and some poisons. It can not on the other hand cure diseases unless it is something like the common cold.

"Now it is finally time for me to teach you how to cast your first spell," Maimai says as she walks closer to Annette. Then she takes out a simple candle and puts it on the table. "Today I will teach you how to light a candle. I believe that you already know how to move your magic towards your fingers so I just need to teach you how to unleash it as a spell. Now the first thing you need to do is to think of the object you want to put on fire and focus on it, then the next step is for you to imagine the candle being lit up and if you are having trouble then you can chant out the spell which is oh, spirit of fire let your light spark on as candle light. Normally I would tell them that you need to use the chant because it consumes less mana because it takes less concentration but since you don't lack in either I think you can first try it without the incantation." Maimai explains and tells Annette to start.

Annette listened to her teacher's words and tried them out and she was able to do it on her first try. But instead of it being lit up Annette completely melted the candle.

"Oh my, normally a person has a problem with the flame being too weak but yours is the complete opposite. Let's try it again but use less of your mana this time."

Maimai tells her and uses a restoration spell on the candle which is a type of void magic. Then Annette tries again and it is slightly better this time. Then she tries again and again until she finally manages the amount she should use on her 23 tries.

And that's the end of the class. The rest of the day went by smoothly and Annette was able to get a good night's sleep.

At the same time Zack, Benjamin, and Lucious are in Zack's office as Lucious has finally come with a report on the Pentahast family. "It is just as you suspected they wanted to adopt a daughter in order to marry her into a family with high political background. And the reason they decided to adopt is that all their babies were stillborn and they did not want to risk it again. But there is also another thing, as it turns out Lucia Pentahast was gifted with a god's gift named Affection which causes everyone with lower mana to either to feel romantic affection towards her or that of an obsessive platonic affection. And that seems to be the reason she was chosen as the couple has lower mana than her. So because of this, she won't be easily married unless it is someone of a high caliber. Of Course, the said girl doesn't know how to turn that ability off and it seems that she is not aware of that ability herself. So they must have hidden it from her somehow. Which must only be because they were affected by it themself. There also seems to be some side effects with this ability as some try to assault. She herself is not aware of it though as they were not able to come close to her. Another side effect is that those affected by it can turn violent to those not affected by it. It is like a drug that only affects those around her."

Lucious reports.

Hearing this news both Benjamin and Zack dont know if this is a good thing because she won't be easily used as a tool by her adoptive parents and will receive love and care, even though it may be fake. On the other hand, she can turn into the victim because of it if someone is able to get to her. The sad truth is that she has a higher chance to get raped or physically abused than others just because of her ability.

It seems that rather than a useful ability she actually received a curse.

"How much is her mana capacity?" Zack asks seriously.

"500." Lucious answers.

"... That means that around 40 percent of the nobility will be affected by her ability."

Benjamin states.

"... Benjamin send one of our shadow guards that is not needed here and has at least 600 mana capacity. But the higher the better. I don't want her to be a victim of her own gift as she is the sister of my important subordinate."

Zack orders and then both Lucious and Benjamin take their leave.
